Bodies, Dexter's immaculately groomed first release, is a sinisterly swoon-some 21st Century ballad - an example of contemporary music-noir at its finest. A comfortingly malevolent slab of sepulchral-pop, rich in emotive orchestration and poignantly memorable lyrics, it will entertain and becalm you in equal measure. Allow its otherworldly dimension to take hold and you will be claimed forever by Dexter’s vibrant concerto of the known and the unknown. This hybrid symphony, dripping with poetry is an epic, unsettling ode to skeletons in the closet.

the spine-tingling 'Stop Haunting Me', is an even darker modernistic excursion into art-rock’s eerier depths. An unnerving, smoky lounge performance of this torch-song features as the centre-piece of surreal celluloid offering, Bardot Thodal - which is set to debut at BAFTA, before doing the rounds on the international film festival circuit.

Alternative Ballad Singer lounging in the depths of some kind of Noir lair, lighting his way through the smokey shadows (to the bar) with shimmering torch songs. Epic haunting ballads to exhilarating Spector-esque art-pop sounds resound.

The band's boozy base was on the Holloway Rd, North London (down road from Joe Meek's old studio).

Live shows have been supported by a 7-piece band including viola & violin, upright bass, tremelo guitar/backing voc, keys, drums/percussion.

Fans include the Pet Shop Boys who said Dexter is 'how Lana Del Rey should have sounded'. In other incarnations Dex worked with James Ford, Andrew Weatherall, Peter Hook, Trevor Jackson.
