Alternative Ballad Singer lounging in the depths of some kind of Noir lair, lighting his way through the smokey shadows (to the bar) with shimmering torch songs. Epic haunting ballads to exhilarating Spector-esque art-pop sounds resound.

The band's boozy base was on the Holloway Rd, North London (down road from Joe Meek's old studio).

Live shows have been supported by a 7-piece band including viola & violin, upright bass, tremelo guitar/backing voc, keys, drums/percussion.

Fans include the Pet Shop Boys who said Dexter is 'how Lana Del Rey should have sounded'. In other incarnations Dex worked with James Ford, Andrew Weatherall, Peter Hook, Trevor Jackson.
