mfw i was trying to name this song cause it was originally "up beat up remix remix" lol. i really need to make my own album art and put more effort into naming songs. it's hard 😭

this is a track i made in 2021 using Bosca Ceoil: https://yurisizov.itch.io/boscaceoil-blue (which i just found out got updated as i was uploading this track). i like the sound of this one, but i think i'm pretty biased owo. one day, i'll return to all my old tracks and modernize them and redo them. but for now, it's about getting the backlog on here!

heya! back at it again with another old project owo

this time, its from a series of three songs, but i decided to go with the last song and work my way back. i had a bout in early 2019 with a certain lawyer visual novel game and wanted to attempt making some themes for a game. nothing came of it, but it was fun working on the music at the time. i made a simple city theme, a theme that was meant to be an anticipation to an investigation, and the actual investigation theme (this one!)

i did remove two small sections from the song at the end of the b section, since it sounded way more dated than it already sounds lol. but its essentially the original intact version. 

i wanna get back into making new tracks again, mainly just getting into the habit of opening fl studio and going silly on the piano roll. i dont want to just post old projects from 6 years ago... anyway, i hope you enjoy and anticipate what comes next!!

an investigation worth suspicion (.ceol)

here is the second track! like i mentioned in the last track (for anyone reading any of this), this one was more of like a "getting ready to investigate" theme, although it seems pretty fast and upbeat if we're trying to investigate a murder or something. someone on the force might have too much fun with this...

aaaaanyway, i think it's pretty fun having a context to make songs in, and video game help a lot with keeping the scope intact and not going all over the place. but then again, having things go all over the place is its own kind of fun too, hmm...

this is the final track of the three! this one is supposed to give off that "i'm just strolling in a bustling town, wow!" but instead, its just beeps and boops :)

i realized how much i used that buildup with the increasing tempo of the drums for a drop. i feel like once i figured that out, almost every song i made since just used that LOL! i really need to change the way i approaching making songs in such a formulaic way as well. my tastes have expanded a lot more than from the typical radio pop that i was so used to back in the day. a lot of my older songs just replicate that simple "verse bridge chorus" setup in 4/4 with major keys, so i'd like to be more experimental with what i do next.

and so in therefore, that has been the trilogy of tracks. it's funny because i made all three of them on the same day, so they do have a similar vibe to them as well, or thats just me picking up on it being so intimate with the tracks, dunno.
