Balmus Alexandru, also known as Alex Bibi, is an extremely versatile artist who harmoniously combines musical styles, whether he plays music to a beach party, endless raves or rooftops. He started his adventure in this world ten years ago, at Space club in Bucharest, and since then he has finalized an unique style, inspired by artists such as Ricardo Villalobos, Raresh, Lee Burridge, Derrick May, Dyed Soundorom, Luciano, DeWalta or Kerri Chandler, using funk, jazz, breaks, latin funk or bboying influences. In fact, Alex is practicing breakdance from an early age, this art influencing his musical style.
For four years, Alex settled in Ibiza, where he played music in places like Itaca Beach, Coolture Cafe, Enigma, Eden, Veto Social Club, Nikki Beach or Rooftop Ibiza By L'Eléphant and was invited to a lot of podcasts for Ibiza Global Radio and Ibiza Digital Sunset, like It's all about the music radioshow or Secuencias radioshow. Alex is part of the Background Ibiza and Purity Ibiza labels, and this year will launch some releases at, Susur Records, tunes made in collaboration with Mws. Another will be released at Unisson Records. Over time, Alex's tunes have been supported by artists such as Barac, Marc Antona, Hansel, MWS and many others.
