Once upon a fever dream, The Communist was very sick with the flu. He was suffering from bronchitis, and very medicated . As he was bed ridden m I placed his guitar into his hand. We attempted to recreate his Line 6 Spider settings using my Line 6 PodHD300, which ended in some horrible feedback which could not be fixed properly post edit without losing the wild rough first take of a guitar player who had never heard the song playing before. I placed the guitar on him as he laid on the bed and didn’t expect him to do anything. Yet he played. I put on random tracks for him to play to, and during this time I was grooving to Kiefer Land's mix of 'Shapeshift' from his Vision 1 EP. I put this track on and to my surprise, his first time hearing this track he played a phenomenal solo. Falling out of key only a few times, the only struggle with this recording was the feedback. For those who do not play guitar, keep in mind that some of the 'feedback' are intricately bent pinch riffs. Enjoy!
