VMADanceMachine is a DJ duo. We have known each other since the '80s and were immersed in house music from the start, although up and till around 2010 this involved mainly going to house parties. Since a few years we have started playing music, creating our own mixes and since a year or two we also started doing gigs together. It felt so natural that it was time to merge our creativity which resulted in VMA Dance Machine. 

VMA is a combination of both our initials (the V and the A) and of one of our close friends who inspires us through his art and inspiration (the M in the middle). It is also a subtle reference to the era of the '80s and '90s with the MTV Video Music Awards which we grew up with. 

Dance Machine refers to the Dance-Offs that we used to have (and still have) at the parties we attend as well as what we intend to achieve with our sets (which is to get the party rocking and get the people on to the dance floor). To create sets that will get your blood pumping, your juices flowing and that urge your body to start moving up to the point that you can no longer resist and start to dance.

Our reposts are tracks that we bought, want to buy, really dig or find inspirational and think deserve your attention. Our likes are reserved for the sets posted on Soundcloud which we would to hear over and over again and which we use as inspiration for our own sets.
