Simi Sun (formerly known as Ashanti Bragg) is a female alternative hip-hop soul artist, writer, and spiritual practitioner from VA Beach VA. 

She is inspired by a variety of artists including Mary J. Blige, Jay-Z, J Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Erykah Badu & Lauryn Hill. 

Although some may compare her sound to such artists, Simi Sun shines in own unique way through sharing her experiences from a multidimensional perspective.

Her view is one of authenticity, wellness, transparency, wisdom, wholeness, and the knowledge & love of self as well as The Universe that we’re all a part of. 

Even her most raw emotions are delivered with the kind of transparency that proves that often, one of our greatest strengths is our ability to express vulnerability. 

To find the healing in our pain, and take the medicine. 

Simi Sun uses Divine light & darkness to heal herself through her music, with the wisdom/gratitude of knowing that by doing so, she is helping others to heal themselves too. 

Through intentionally blessing her music with specific healing vibes (aka frequencies) she promotes what she feels is the original purpose of music & art. That is to be a channel for Divine Spiritual communication.
