Girls Of The Internet return to Luke Solomon’s imprint with the tender house track ‘Affirmations’. Their debut release on Classic in 2017, ‘When U Go’, established the group as ones to watch, and in the six years since they have connected house, soul, disco and garage into one recognisable and modern aesthetic. The sweeping cut features vocals from the experienced and versatile Anelisa Lamola, who established herself in the 2021 musical ‘The Color Purple’ and closed BBC Radio 1’s Dance Weekend the following year. 

‘Affirmations’ was co-written by burgeoning UK soul star Sophie Faith, with soulful lyrics supported by an uplifting string quartet arrangement that leaves a lasting impression. With their 2020 album ‘Girls FM’ gaining support from the likes of Pete Tong and The Blessed Madonna, the house band, spearheaded by Tom Kerridge deliver another striking release on Classic.

Francesco Di Feo aka FDF (Italy) is born in Rome, he is co-owner of Shared Rec with his huge friends Pietro Baratti and Corrado Cocco. Right now FDF produces music for some awesome labels like Juiced Music, Hot Bit and obviously Shared Rec. He reached and climbed top 100 Jackin House very very often, every release is always full of huge support. In the past he also had tracks out on some very huge labels like Toolroom, Enormous, D-Vine, Ego and many more.

Right now with his friend and brother Pietro Baratti is a member of the great duo Frank & Peter that is hitting the hard Jackin House scene. Also if the project of Frank & Peter is so new, they are already doing a great job inspired by the great funky music. Deep soul, strong beats, classy melodies and funky heart......this is what FDF brings you.

Now returning to DFTD with a bang, the explosion of energy felt in ‘Liquid Samba’ is impressive; chugging rhythms and an insistent vocal call mixes with melodic percussion, effortlessly evoking the sound of the jungle. Similarly, spoken word sections are used to detail ‘The Journey’, building a tropical world using only audio.
