Memoryman (aka Uovo) is one third of Pastaboys, one of the biggest Italian dance music exports of the last fifteen years. Joining forces with Rogue D (formerly of Flashmob) for two melodic but contrasting tracks, the ‘Release Me EP’ demonstrates sophisticated instrumental arrangements over refined mood-defined beats. ‘Release Me’ is an extended track, giving due care and attention to a deep and rolling crescendo build, the soaring soul-style vocals and percussion accents gradually taking things up to a euphoric level. ‘Dance Track’ is the mid-tempo counterpart to ‘Release Me’, built around a smooth guitar hook that removes it from the former’s dancefloor and into the realms of a minimalist take on deep house.

Launching early June 2013, DFTD is a breakout label to Defected Records. Focusing on fresh, new and undiscovered talent from around the globe - along with the occasional curveball release from established acts, DTFD has released music from the likes of Guti, Jonas Rathsman, Forrest, Andre Lodemann and NiCe 7 over the past 5 years.

DFTD complements its parent label and has a more diverse musical remit, releasing a broad range of electronic music, focussing on quality, discerning dance music.

Originally from Canberra and now based in Melbourne, Luca, known as Everest, embarked on his DJ journey in 2010, inspired by a live performance by The Aston Shuffle. Quickly making his mark, Everest secured residencies at top Canberra venues like Meche, North Bar, Trinity Bar, and Mr. Wolf, and made appearances at notable events including the Spring Carnival music festival. His talent also led to multiple radio features on stations such as Raw FM, FM 104.7, and UCFM.

Since relocating to Sydney and ultimately Melbourne, Everest has played at renowned venues and events including Chinese Laundry, Circus Bar, The Burdekin Hotel, New Guernica, Killing Time and Sweethearts Rooftop, as well as having multiple guest appearances on Kiss FM, Bondi Radio, and Bondi Beach Radio. His musical influences span across house and all its subgenres, disco, techno and breaks, drawing inspiration from artists like Noir, Maceo Plex, Roland Clark, Guy J, and Floorplan.

Throughout his career, Everest has supported an impressive roster of international and Australian acts, including but not limited to:

Oliver Huntemann, Amine Edge & Dance, MK, Robosonic, Nora En Pure, Bart Skils, Alberto Ruiz, Will Clarke, Kill Frenzy, Peking Duk, Loco & Jam, Marco Faraone, Rufus, Golden Features, and Motez.
