Having started out in the early 2010’s, Mario Campo quickly joined the famous Pole Group after a string of big releases that saw him rise up in the Spanish scene. His music remains highly immersive and almost atmospheric, but where his music seemed to have more of a dub roundness to it a few years back, his productions nowadays have reduced in sonic depth but gained in impact. 

Kwartz has been able to differentiate himself while being highly complementary to the contemporary scene by combining his cloudy style with Spanish club efficiency to make weapons on wax.

After our summer break PoleGroup radio is back, this month we are going to listen to a mix from Madrid based Semantica boss Svreca, the spanish artist has recorded this set live at the Loft in Barcelona last April 5.

Svreca will release soon an EP on his Semantica label named "How to become nothing" with remixes from Oscar Mulero, Pris, Adriana lopez and ASC.

You can also check out some tracks of him released this year on labels like "On the 5th day", "Sublunar" and "Aura Dinamica"

You can see Svreca playing on October 11 at Distopia club in Bilbao, on the 12th at Smolna in Warsaw and on the 26 at prisma in Sevilla, he also have some gigs in Asia coming up in November when he will be playing at Vurt in Seul on November 1 and at the festival de Frue at Shizuoka in Japan on November 2

Even if this would have been a very long distance trip, we would not have hesitated to invite highly skilled Japanese techno pioneer Takaaki Itoh to play in Leipzig at one of our regular Connwax nights in Institut für Zukunft. Okay, he would have kown the way to LE since he visited IFZ already in 2016 and 2018.

Well, the year 2020 planned something different for all of us. In the meantime, during our last internal Connwax meeting, we decided to ask Takaaki if he would like to contribute to our young but incredibly good Connwax Selected Series.

For our Connwax Selected #11, Takaaki Itoh who already released on labels such as Mord, Modularz, Warm up and his own imprint Wols is providing us with well selected, ace and highly effective stealth techno (like Hardwax is sayin'...).
