El Cameroon is a London based singer & songwriter from Scotland.

His introspective lyrics, acoustic guitar, and rugged voice combine to create spare but tuneful indie folk songs - regularly compared to many of his influences: Bright Eyes; Tallest Man on Earth, Neil Young and Bears Den. 

Growing up in the north of Scotland, his reverence for lyrics was instilled through a record collection left behind by his uncle. The Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan and Rolling Stones records led to other contemporary song writers such as Belle & Sebastian, Counting Crows and Damien Rice.

His first release, The Obsession EP was self-recorded following an extended trip through South America. The four tracks encompass many of those travelling emotions of love, loss and freedom.

I write most of these when something inspires me to write, but since most of them are covers, I seem to be inspired more by the old guys than by anything else (: The music tracks that are put up on my page are all mine, played completely by me, some remixes, some covers, and some (few) originals.
I play the guitar, and the piano. I have a Rally GL-400 (a Les Paul modelled guitar) and a B. Steiner stand-up grand piano.

Music played with live instruments is the trip. Integrating electronic sounds with this in a seamless blend is awesome.
