I Believe in Something More

"Home" is the first single of my new project The Lake And The Wolf. It's a declaration of love to my wonderful wife. The release date not only marks the start of this project but is also our sixth wedding anniversary. Mumford & Sons meet William Fitzsimmons in a little Café round the corner.

The High Side

This song was born at 20 Joice St, San Francisco, CA. From the first studio session it grew into something big. In my head it was me and my acoustic guitar. On paper, it became keys, electric, guitar, pedal synth, violin, collaborations with drummers, bassists, and double bassists. The last piece recorded was the scream symbolic of the pain I had bottled up finally spilling over.

Following a hunting session with the father, Orion returns home to find an emissary from the army at his house's doorstep. It was time for his father to go to war. The emperor had decided to fight the gods, having gotten tired of their immortal rule over man. And so his father leaves to fight another man's battle.

Dhruv's music stems from childhood experiences as well as feelings of great anguish and grief. Having lost his father at a young age, many of his songs focus on how he has grown and the stories that come with it. Inspired greatly by his immediate surroundings, he began writing music as a therapeutic respite. His emotional connection to his family and loved ones gives him every reason to tell stories that Inspire.  

His latest album, "The Lost Cause " is an Independent effort (out now) released on the 19th of April , The Lost Cause is rich in the colours of the world, often shifting between traditional folk music, rhythmic pop and tribal-based work of his home country of India. It’s earthy, accessible and dazzling. The Lost Cause was debuted at #2 on iTunes India, and was in the top 50 albums on Apple Music for over two weeks.
