ਨਿਜ ਫਤੇ ਬੁਲਾਈ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਕੀਨੋ 
ਉਜਿਆਰਾ॥
Himself, the True Guru invoked Fateh, the greeting of victory, and spread the divine light.

ਝੂਠ ਕਪਟ ਸਭ ਛੈ ਭਇਓ ਸਚ ਸਚ ਵਰਤਾਰਾ॥

ਫਿਰ ਜਗ ਹੋਮ ਠਹਿਰਾਏ ਕੈ ਨਿਜ ਧਰਮ ਸਵਾਰਾ॥
Desisting from the (rituals of) Yajana and Havana, righteousness was promoted.

ਤੁਰਕ ਦੁੰਦ ਸਭ ਉਠ ਗਇਓ ਰਚਿਓ ਜੈਕਾਰਾ॥
All the contention of Turks were eliminated, and the (Khalsa) ovation was permeated.

ਜਹ ਉਪਜੇ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਹਾਂ ਬਲੀ ਖਾਲਸ ਨਿਰਧਾਰਾ॥
Thus were promulgated Singhs, the emphatic and the righteous ones.

ਸਭ ਜਗ ਤਿਨੰਹੂ ਬਸ ਕੀਓ ਜਪ ਅਲਖ ਅਪਾਰਾ॥

ਗੁਰ ਧਰਮ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਜਗ ਚਮਕਿਓ ਮਿਟਿਓ ਅੰਧਿਆਰਾ॥
Deliberating on the Guru's Righteous-path, (celestial) light beamed and the darkness (of the ignorance) was effaced.

ਤਬ ਕੁਸਲ ਖੇਮ ਆਨੰਦ ਸਿਉਂ ਬਸਿਓ ਸੰਸਾਰਾ॥
And then the happiness, welfare and bliss prospered in the whole world.

ਅਗਮ ਸੂਰਬੀਰੇ ਉਠਹਿ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੋਧਾ ॥
ਬੇਅੰਤ ਬਲਵਾਨ ਸੂਰਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੋਧੇ ਉਠਨਗੇ ।
Ample brave Singh warriors will rise.

ਪਕੜ ਤੁਰਕ ਗਨ ਕਉ ਕਰੈ ਵੈ ਨਿਰੋਧਾ ॥
ਉਹ ਤੁਰਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਗਨ (ਸਮੂਹ) ਹੋਕੇ ਉਨਾਂ੍ਹ ਨੂੰ ਬਲਹੀਨ ਕਰ ਦੇਣਗੇ ।
They will face the Turks and and make them defenceless.

ਯਹੀ ਆਸ ਪੂਰਨ ਕਰਹੁ ਤੁਮ ਹਮਾਰੀ ॥
ਇਹੋ ਮੇਰੀ ਇੱਛਾ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਪੂਰੀ ਕਰੋ ।
Grant me this boon.

ਮਿਟੈ ਕਸਟ ਗਊਅਨ ਛੁਟੈ ਖੇਦ ਭਾਰੀ ॥
ਗਊ, ਕਸ਼ਟ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਰੀ ਦੁਖ ਤੋਂ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇ ।
Relieve the cow of agony and all ailments

ਫਤਹ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਕੀ ਜਗਤ ਸਿਉਂ ਬੁਲਾਊਂ ॥
ਸਾਰੇ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ (ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ)ਦੀ ਫਤਹਿ ਬੁਲਾਵਾਂ ( ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਾ ਖਾਲਸਾ, ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕੀ ਫਤਹਿ )।
The victory to the Almighty shall be my proclamation.

ਸਭਨ ਕਉ ਸਬਦ ਵਾਹਿ ਵਾਹਿ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਊਂ ॥
ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵਾਹਿ ਵਾਹਿ (ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ) ਜਪਾਵਾਂ ।
To all, Wahe Wahe (Waheguru) shall be the word to meditate on.

ਕਰਹੁ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਪੰਥ ਤੀਸਰ ਪ੍ਰਵੇਸਾ ॥
ਤੀਸਰਾ ਪੰਥ ਖਾਲਸਾ (ਹਿੰਦੂ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਲਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਵਖਰਾ) ਬਣਾਓ ।
Designate the third religion (panth) (different to the Hindu and Islam).

ਜਗਹਿ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੋਧੇ ਧਰਹਿ ਨੀਲ ਭੇਸਾ ॥
ਸਿੰਘ ਸੂਰਬੀਰ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਹੋਣ ਜੇਹੜੇ ਨੀਲੇ ਭੇਸ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ (ਅਰਥਾਤ ਮੁਸਲਮਾਨ=ਤੁਰਕ) ਜੋ ਨੀਲੇ ਕਪੜੇ ਪਾਉਂਦੇ ਸਨ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਗੇ ਧਰ ਲੈਣ = ਭਾਵ, ਭਜਾ ਦੇਣ । (ਯਥਾ:- -"ਨੀਲ ਬਸਤ੍ਰ ਲੈ ਕਪੜੇ ਪਹਿਰੇ, ਤੁਰਕ ਪਠਾਣੀ ਅਮਲ ਕੀਆ -ਆਸਾ ਦੀ ਵਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਨੀਲ ਬਸਤ੍ਰ ਪਾਓਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਤੁਰਕਾਂ (ਮੁਸਲਮਾਨਾਂ) ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਹੈ) ।
The loyal Singh (Lion-like Khalsa) warriors will rise and don blue attire

ਤਬ ਸੁੰਨਤ ਕੋਇ ਨ ਕਰ ਸਕੈ ਕਾਪਿਓ ਤੁਰਕਾਨਾ॥
Turks, the Muslims, dreaded and none actuated the circumcision

ਜਿਨਿ ਸਭ ਪ੍ਰਿਥਵੀ ਕਉ ਜੀਤ ਕਰਿ ਨੀਸਾਨ ਝੁਲਾਏ॥
He triumphed over the whole world and unfurled the sacred flags.
