ਬਹੋਸ਼ ਬਾਸ਼ ਕਿ ਹੰਗਾਮਿ ਨੌਬਹਾਰ ਆਮਦ
ਹੋਸ਼ ਵਿਚ ਆ, ਕਿ ਨਵੀੰਣ ਬਹਾਰ ਦਾ ਸਮਾਣ ਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ,
"Come back to your senses and rejoice! It is the time for the onset of the new spring season,

ਬਹਾਰ ਆਮਦ ਵਾ ਯਾਰ ਵਾ ਕਰਾਰ ਆਮਦ ॥ ੧੯ ॥ ੧ ॥
ਬਹਾਰ ਆ ਗਈ ਹੈ, ਯਾਰ ਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਦਿਲ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਾਣਤੀ ਆ ਗਈ ਹੈ ।
The spring is here, my beloved, the Guru, has arrived, and now my heart is serene and at peace.” (19) (1)

ਦਰੂਨਿ ਮਰਦੁਮਿ ਚਸ਼ਮ ਜ਼ਿ ਬਸ ਕਿ ਜਲਵਾ ਗਰਸਤ
ਅੱਖ ਦੀ ਪੁਤਲੀ ਵਿਚ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਜਲਵਾ ਇੱਤਨਾ ਸਮਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ,
"My (Guru's) splendor and refulgence have penetrated so much in the pupil of my eye,

ਬਹਰ ਤਰਫ਼ ਕਿ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਕਰਦ ਰੂਇ ਯਾਰ ਆਮਦ ॥ ੧੯ ॥ ੨ ॥
ਕਿ ਉਹ ਜਿਧਰ ਵੀ ਵੇਖਦੀ ਹੈ, ਮਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਮੁਖੜਾ ਦਿਸਦਾ ਹੈ ।
That wherever and in whichever direction, it may look, it sees only the loving face of my beloved, the Guru." (19) (2)

ਰਾਗ ਨਾਦ ਬਾਦ ਬਿਸਮਾਦ ਕੀਰਤਨ ਸਮੈ ਸਬਦ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਗਿਆਨ ਗੋਸਟਿ ਅਨੇਕ ਹੈ ॥
For a Guru-conscious person, the melody of wonder and astonishment is the singing of paeans of the Lord to the accompaniment of musical instruments. Engrossing the mind in the divine word is like participating in many debates and discussions.

ਭਾਵਨੀ ਭੈ ਭਾਇ ਚਾਇ ਚਾਹ ਚਰਨਾਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਕੀ ਆਸ ਪ੍ਰਿਅ ਸਦੀਵ ਅੰਗ ਸੰਗ ਜਾਵਦੇਕ ਹੈ ॥੨੫੪॥
With devotion, respect and love for the Lord and craze for meeting Him, Guru-oriented person is ever desirous of obtaining the elixir of the feet of the True Guru. Every limb of such a devotee craves and hopes to meet the dear Lord. (254)

ਮਾਹਾ ਮਾਹ ਮੁਮਾਰਖੀ ਚੜਿਆ ਸਦਾ ਬਸੰਤੁ ॥
(ਹੇ ਮਨ! ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਹਉਮੈ ਵਾਲੀ ਬ੍ਰਿਤੀ ਭੁਲਾ ਦੇਵੇਂ ਤਾਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ) ਵਡੀਆਂ ਵਡੀਆਂ ਵਧਾਈਆਂ (ਬਣ ਜਾਣ, ਤੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਸਦਾ ਚੜ੍ਹਦੀ ਕਲਾ ਟਿਕੀ ਰਹੇ,
Among the months, blessed is this month, when spring always comes.

ਪਰਫੜੁ ਚਿਤ ਸਮਾਲਿ ਸੋਇ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਗੋਬਿੰਦੁ ॥੧॥
ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਤੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ) ਸਦਾ ਖਿੜੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਪਰਗਟ ਹੋ ਪਏ । ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਚਿੱਤ! ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਦੀ ਸਾਰ ਲੈਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਸਦਾ (ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰ) ਸਾਂਭ ਰੱਖ ਤੇ (ਇਸ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ) ਖਿੜਿਆ ਰਹੁ ।੧।
Blossom forth, O my consciousness, contemplating the Lord of the Universe, forever and ever. ||1||

ਭੋਲਿਆ ਹਉਮੈ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਵਿਸਾਰਿ ॥
ਹੇ ਕਮਲੇ ਮਨ! ਮੈਂ ਮੈਂ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਬ੍ਰਿਤੀ ਭੁਲਾ ਦੇ । ਹੇ ਮਨ! ਹੋਸ਼ ਕਰ, ਹਉਮੈ ਨੂੰ (ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ) ਮੁਕਾ ਦੇ ।
O ignorant one, forget your egotistical intellect.

ਹਉਮੈ ਮਾਰਿ ਬੀਚਾਰਿ ਮਨ ਗੁਣ ਵਿਚਿ ਗੁਣੁ ਲੈ ਸਾਰਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
(ਹਉਮੈ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਕਾਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਇਹ) ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਸੇ੍ਰਸ਼ਟ ਗੁਣ (ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰ) ਸੰਭਾਲ ਲੈ ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ।
Subdue your ego, and contemplate Him in your mind; gather in the virtues of the Sublime, Virtuous Lord. ||1||Pause||

ਕਰਮ ਪੇਡੁ ਸਾਖਾ ਹਰੀ ਧਰਮੁ ਫੁਲੁ ਫਲੁ ਗਿਆਨੁ ॥
(ਹੇ ਮਨ! ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਹਉਮੈ ਭੁਲਾਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਰੋਜ਼ਾਨਾ) ਕੰਮ (ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗ ਪਏਂ, ਇਹ ਤੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਇਕ ਐਸਾ) ਰੁੱਖ (ਉੱਗ ਪਏਗਾ, ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ) ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ (ਸਿਮਰਨ) ਦੀਆਂ ਟਹਣੀਆਂ (ਫੁੱਟਣਗੀਆਂ, ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ) ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਫੱੁਲ (ਲੱਗੇਗਾ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲ) ਡੂੰਘੀ ਜਾਣ-ਪਛਾਣ ਫਲ (ਲੱਗੇਗਾ) ।
Karma is the tree, the Lord's Name the branches, Dharmic faith the flowers, and spiritual wisdom the fruit.

ਪਤ ਪਰਾਪਤਿ ਛਾਵ ਘਣੀ ਚੂਕਾ ਮਨ ਅਭਿਮਾਨੁ ॥੨॥
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਪਰਾਪਤੀ (ਉਸ ਰੁੱਖ ਦੇ) ਪੱਤਰ (ਹੋਣਗੇ, ਤੇ) ਨਿਰਮਾਣਤਾ (ਉਸ ਰੁੱਖ ਦੀ) ਸੰਘਣੀ ਛਾਂ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ ।੨।
Realization of the Lord are the leaves, and eradication of the pride of the mind is the shade. ||2||

ਅਖੀ ਕੁਦਰਤਿ ਕੰਨੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਮੁਖਿ ਆਖਣੁ ਸਚੁ ਨਾਮੁ ॥
(ਜੇਹੜਾ ਭੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹਉਮੈ ਨੂੰ ਭੁਲਾਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਰੋਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਕੰਮ ਕਰੇਗਾ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਕੁਦਰਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਰੱਬ ਆਪਣੀ ਅੱਖੀਂ ਦਿੱਸੇਗਾ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕੰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਵੱਸੇਗੀ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਵਿਚ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਨਾਮ ਹੀ ਬੋਲ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ।
Whoever sees the Lord's Creative Power with his eyes, and hears the Guru's Bani with his ears, and utters the True Name with his mouth,

ਪਤਿ ਕਾ ਧਨੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਹੋਆ ਲਾਗਾ ਸਹਜਿ ਧਿਆਨੁ ॥੩॥
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਲੋਕ ਪਰਲੋਕ ਦੀ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਦਾ ਸੰਪੂਰਨ ਧਨ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਇਗਾ, ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਵਿਚ ਸਦਾ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਟਿਕੀ ਰਹੇਗੀ ।੩।
attains the perfect wealth of honor, and intuitively focuses his meditation on the Lord. ||3||

ਮਾਹਾ ਰੁਤੀ ਆਵਣਾ ਵੇਖਹੁ ਕਰਮ ਕਮਾਇ ॥
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਹਉਮੈ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਸਾਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ) ਕੰਮ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਵੇਖ ਲਵੋ, ਇਹ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਰੁੱਤਾਂ ਤੇ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਤਾਂ ਸਦਾ ਆਉਣ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਨ (ਪਰ ਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਦੇ ਖੇੜੇ ਵਾਲੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਵਾਲੀ ਰੁੱਤ ਕਦੇ ਲੋਪ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ) ।
The months and the seasons come; see, and do your deeds.

ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰੇ ਨ ਸੂਕਹੀ ਜਿ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਰਹੇ ਸਮਾਇ ॥੪॥੧॥
O Nanak, those Gurmukhs who remain merged in the Lord do not wither away; they remain green forever. ||4||1||
