Support from Daniel Avery, Andrew Weatherall and other trendsetting peers and luminaries has ensured that Kiwi & Ashworth have jumped from ones to watch to this year’s pace setters… 

New East London imprint Sneaky hit the ground running with a well heralded release from young guns Silk 86 late autumn and follow up with this luscious slab of euphoric, ambient at times, forward thinking house music. 

The lead track 'UCX3' is a drawn-out, gradually swelling, half-euphoric-half-pumping roller, Zubr is a haunting, mellow piece, featuring Joe showing his prowess on a 1960s Wurlitzer. The track is drenched in the accidental noise, pops and clicks involved in using something so old, and this gives the track it's comforting charm. 

Arguably the wild card of the release, 'Dusk,' stays clear of the drum machines, and paints a subtley epic picture with a reverb-drenched piano and folkey violin drones, all being driven forwards by an ominous pulsating Moog bass. 

Sneaky Music... 

With releases & another record label under their respective belts, Sneaky was an idea for a label and party cooked up by good friends Pablo Ranacat and Andy Bird over some serious late night partying, and epic mid afternoon steaks & red wine sessions and now a reality really seems to be finding it’s feet with this second release. Analogue synths and programming combined with a very current and London sound sets a marker in the sand for this exciting new label’s next releases. And with names of the like Nicholas, Rick Wade and the label bosses themselves thrown into the mix we’re expecting good things.

Based in Potsdam, this young producer & dj has already received recognition from many within the proliferating European electronic music scene. Having initially been vested to the hip hop and breakdance culture, 2005 saw Florian take his first steps towards the electronic music scene when he attended
SonneMondSterne. Florian is on the allegiant quest of refining the sound of his music. Just like a renowned composer known for his eclectic sounds John Cage once said, "Everything we do is music", Florian too finds an inspiration for his music in the the sounds of streets, in people's voices, in silence and nature, and above all - in the ordinary and extraordinary of real life.

2phonic Recordings returns after a hiatus to present the work of a family member named Masta Soul.
It brings us a succulent track, "Another Dimension," with tense synths intertwined with a powerful beat that touches on the Detroit techno of a few decades ago but without losing that deep, Chicago-inspired flavor.
This time, remixing this project, we have another prominent 2phonic member, Teboho Nkone, who gives us a more abstract version with fat bass lines that will send those pads straight to your nervous system.

Another Dimension (Original Mix)

Portable Sunsets is the project of artist and electronic music producer Peter Segerstrom based in Brooklyn, US. He previously released his full-length album ‘Bless’ on Atomnation, an LP as ‘Surfing’ on 1080p and another Portable Sunsets LP on Deadelus’ Magical Property label. ‘Order’ is the follow up of these records and is a dreamy, somewhat lo-fi experimental techno LP.

Combined with an ancient ambient undertone, ‘Order’ is not losing its club-ready vibe. This record floats somewhere between laid-back warehouse techno and the electronica genre – very much representing a unique style: Peter often uses his own voice in his productions, programmed through self-created synths in MAX/MSP. Vocals have become textures and are used as a synth, pad or soundscape.

Jad Taleb is a Music producer, Film composer and DJ based in Beirut. He also works in video and fine arts.
Jad is the co-founder of Beirut based electronic rock band Flum project, with whom he released his debut album “Dormant” in 2015. He is also co-founder of Assault on structure, an audiovisual platform that supports Live electronic music and Hybrid art installations.

In December 2016, he recorded and produced his first electronic EP 'Transitory' at Riverside Studios Berlin, a first step in exposing his music to the outside world. He has been touring around Europe since 2017.

On his debut for our label Jad Taleb takes his tasteful brand of oldschool dirty house right into modern techno territory, only to bring it right back again, and whip it into something new and fresh. 'Lamb Fruit' blends 90’s inspired house music with elements of techno, synth wave and jazz funk.
