Nick Kortex, de son vrai nom Nicolas Coronel, est un musicien et DJ français spécialisé dans la musique électronique. Il est surtout connu pour son style éclectique et une très large production de morceaux originaux.​

Identité et débuts
Nicolas Coronel, alias Nick Kortex, est né le 8 novembre 1974 à La Seyne-sur-Mer, dans le sud de la France.​

Il a d’abord étudié le cinéma et le théâtre contemporain avant de se tourner vers la musique électronique, où il s’est construit une identité artistique singulière.​

Style musical et œuvres
Son univers mélange Chill Out, House, Urban Latin et Electro Classical, avec une forte orientation underground.​

Depuis son entrée à la S.A.C.E.M. en 2003, il a composé plusieurs centaines de morceaux sous le nom Nick Kortex et sous son nom civil, avec notamment des projets comme « Best of Nick Kortex Vol. 1 & 2 », « French Chill Rap », « Shadows of the Past » ou « Jet House (NYC 4 Ever Mix) ».​

Activités et collaborations
Ses titres sont disponibles sur les principales plateformes de streaming comme Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer et SoundCloud, et il anime également un podcast autour de sa musique.​

Il a collaboré avec différents artistes (par exemple Diamondancer, Comodo, Skyzodread, Scribzone, Vague à l'âme, Solaris IV, Marly ou Racquel), ce qui enrichit encore la diversité de son univers sonore.​

Vie personnelle et engagement
Victime d’un grave accident en 2007, il vit avec un handicap important mais a choisi de poursuivre activement la création musicale.​

Il se montre engagé sur des sujets comme le respect, la lutte contre le racisme et la justice sociale, et revendique une démarche d’authenticité et de résilience dans son travail artistique.​

DJ / Producer

Michael Caffin, better known by his artist name Soul Jawa, is an American deep house and afro house producer based out of San Diego, California. He is a Dutch native with family roots tracing back to the Dutch Colonial East Indies era - now known as Indonesia. Both of his parents originated from the Indonesian island Java, or Jawa, by locals. 

He studied music at a young age while also producing mixtapes with multi reel-to-reels and 1200s. 

When moving to San Diego, he explored remixing and then music production. With full support from seasoned industry expert—Oscar P, he is dropping his own tracks on record labels such as Kolour Recordings (Detroit), HEAVY (NYC), and Open Bar Music (NYC).

He is a huge fan of South African electronic dance music. Either it be soulful, deep, or afro. It is the unique fusion of African rhythms, modern synths, soulful vocals, Kwaito influences (Soweto, Johannesburg), and smooth jazz/funk elements, that is creating that warm, percussive, and rich sound he loves.
