Based in the UK and formerly a filmmaker, Alexa Inwoods aka Riddleskins started creating music during a period of illness. Inspiration is drawn from dreams, nature, and the sense of hope and renewal that drives us all forward. Influences range from visual artists such as Stanley Donwood and Louise Bourgeois, poets such as Louis MacNeice and Mary Oliver, and music from the likes of Radiohead, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Patti Smith, PJ Harvey, Joanna Newsom, Joni Mitchell, John Martyn, Leonard Cohen, Portishead, and Daniel Johnston.
