Mala Junta is considered one of Berlin’s fiercest underground queer-techno parties, with a focus on inclusivity, a concept which approaches the faster, groovier edges of old school dance music.

In this mix Hyperaktivist provides this high energy tribal energy, with a one hour trip full of both old and modern cuts, blending the realms of old school and contemporary techno and trance music.

Mikkel Haraldstad and Uteklubb/UTE.REC co-founder Filip Storsveen (Oprofessionell) are Omformer, a driving force in Oslo’s flourishing rave circuit with a love for ominous rhythms. The Norwegian duo are intimately linked to their hometown’s musical mise-en-scène, from seeds planted at hole-and-corner forest raves they’ve grown and catered live acts far outside their Scandinavian stomping ground. They mainly focus on those in person gatherings but that hasn’t stopped them from releasing their debut EP UTE011 (August 1st on UTE.REC). Think progressive psy-trance with subtle allusion to IDM and you’re not far off their offering, looping compositions to lose yourself in, fast-paced transcendence fit for both forest floor and dancefloor. DINA, the Berlin-based producer, DJ and co-founder of Nachtcrew – a collective fusing psychedelic music, art and 3D mapping, is up next for Tapes #135.

DINA’s production spans spacey ambience, punching basslines, and ethereal trance. Her most recent EP on Slash is described as an ”impressive combination of immersive basslines transforming into huge amounts of dancefloor euphoria”. DINA has also released on illustrious labels such as Amniote Editions, Space Trax, Live From Earth, and her own imprint Nachtcrew.

This was a special one for us. Beautifully mixed and full of emotional and evocative melodies, HORNS almost moved us to tears, soundtracking sunrise in their own inimitable way & making TM8's first appearance at the club an unforgettable one.
