After signing its first vinyl and digital release last May, Weird Planet returns with a digital fundraiser compilation project, just to start the year off right.

Through this VA bringing together no less than 16 artists, the Lyon-based booking agency - and young label - defends a vision that reflects its roster : eclectic, hybrid and far from the pre-established standards. An exploration of the dancefloor in its most uninhibited forms, crossing acid-techno, psychedelic trance, groovy tribe and other unidentified sound objects.

In addition to the strictly musical aspect, it is also and above all the opportunity to contribute to a cause that goes beyond the borders of our scene, since all income generated by the digital sale of this compilation will be donated to the refugee aid association Act For Ref, which provides accommodation solutions, food, administrative or material support and French lessons.

Najib est un titre iconique du groupe Olkan & la vipère rouge. Il mélange Acid et techno et musique orientale originaire du Maghreb et de Syrie. Ce titre percussif aux leads de clavier oriental rappellera des artistes comme Acid Arab, Omar Souleyman, Zenobia ou Amar 808. 

Il leur est apparu naturel de proposer cet EP remix à des artistes identifiés par cette même énergie sur la scène électronique tels que Valise, Kabylie Minogue & Mon Cher Guy.

Chaque artiste a pu se réapproprier le titre original en y apposant sa signature, créant ainsi une véritable exploration sonore. De l'électro explosive de Valise aux rythmes tribaux de Kabylie Minogue, en passant par les mélodies envoûtantes de Mon Cher Guy, cet EP est un véritable kaléidoscope de styles électroniques, tous unis par la même énergie brute.
