Hailing from Australia, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard are a seven strong collective who, by their own admission are ‘absolutely fried theremin wielding psychopaths’. ‘Head On/Pill’ is lifted from the band’s third album ‘Float Along – Fill Your Lungs’ out on Flightless records in Australia, but such is the thrilling slacker genius of this 16 minute epic we had to ask if could put it out as a Heavenly Release for record store day. King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard - Head On/ Pill

The Harpoons are Bec Rigby, whose arresting vocals invoke the great voices heard from Chicago, Detroit, and Philadelphia; brothers Henry and Jack Madin, who write undeniable boppers and ballads that burst with harmony; and Martin King (of Oscar + Martin), who ties the ends with his steezy beats and sultry vocals.

For over a year now, the Melbourne-based band have been underground working hard in the dark and in the heat. What they've come up with will hit you right where it hurts. "Unforgettable", premiering today exclusively on SPIN, is taken from the band's forthcoming debut album Falling For You -- to be released later this year through Two Bright Lakes (home to Oscar Key Sung and Banoffee).

"Unforgettable" begins by offering glitches and whispers of hope, and then grows effortlessly into a declaration of the most certain of loves. It's going to be hit after hit for these guys -- who are renowned for packing rooms with sweaty bodies -- and "Unforgettable" is only the beginning. 

The Harpoons play this Thurs 17th April at Cherry Bar in Melbourne, get on down to hear some of the new tracks from forthcoming album 'Falling For You'.
