This theme is reprised several times, called The Heart Asks Pleasure First/The Promise/The Sacrifice. It is based on a traditional Scottish tune titled "Gloomy Winter's Noo Awa".

The instrument is a Clavia Nord Stage 2, using a sampled Yamaha C7 grand piano, and one single note of sampled strings.

Vangelis composed (improvised?) Memories Of Green in 1980 for his album See You Later, but it's not as famous as the Blade Runner soundtrack in which the track was included too.

The instrument is a Nord Stage 2, using a sampled Bösendorfer piano with a flanger effect, some synthesizers controlled with an expression pedal, and a generous amount of reverb.

Vangelis - Memories Of Green (Blade Runner)

Jaws was composed by John Williams in 1975 for the Steven Spielberg movie. I think he was inspired by contemporary classical music. I'm also including a few notes from Psycho (even simpler theme than Jaws I guess, one single note) and from The Exorcist, which is actually the opening of Tubular Bells by my hero Mike Oldfield.

The instrument is a Clavia Nord Stage 2, using a sampled Bösendorfer piano (I'm cheating and playing an octave with only one finger), an Hammond B3 organ simulation, and sampled strings with phaser and overdrive.

Vangelis plays it on an acoustic piano with beautiful ambient room noise. I tried to replicate the feeling by boosting the pedal noise on my synth, and I added some pads that get pretty dark and intense towards the end.

The instrument is a Nord Stage 2, using a sampled Steinway grand piano and virtual analog synthesizers controlled with an expression pedal, and a generous amount of reverb.
