at some point in your live it most likely will be your 2nd favorite band :-)

what does it sound like? which label would fit best? hard question...

progressive rock is a term that evokes old guys playing endless guitar solos and freaking out on keyboards. use it and the pink floyd original fan base comes creeping out of the rabbit holes of jefferson airplane songs. not that they aren't welcome within our little universe of soundscape, but i'm afraid they will expect something different and older folks tend to consider things apodicticly. so drop progressive rock.

jazz is a beautiful thing. or at least it would be. jazz could be everything that freaks out, everything carrying more emotion than structure can bear. simple structure of course. strophe, refrain, bridge. blues scale. all that usual stuff. but what seems to be free, absolutely non-conformistic art of expression turns out to be restricted by some elitist gatekeepers. no one knows the essence of jazz but the jazz police is allready looking through the windows. so drop jazz.

new music. ah no, even more elite thinking and much less sex appeal. a very bizarre restriction on the usage of twelve tones is considered less constrained than just using those of them you need to outrightly express. don't get us wrong, we admire the approaches on musical frontiers. but it isn't just one borderland out there.

so what are the extant terms? some gibberish monster of crossover genres and sub-genres? something like female fronted electro prog-metal? the problem with terms is, that they can't properly describe. it's the spirit that comes with them which brings the meaning. what is the spirit of long and exact terms? something between boredom and inflexibility! well, we are the opposite.
