And we are very happy to share this recording with you. Especially since it comes straight from the latest Biotechnology event with Aksamit, in Katowice Sixa, 10.06.2022. 

During the over 2.5h, the resident of Wrocław's @klubcialo or Berlin collective @art-bei-ton, spins a unique deep techno tale filled with magical, psychedelic or trance-inducing sounds. Kuba Sojka is a prominent Polish electronic music artist renowned for his pioneering live performances and innovative approach to techno and house music. Since 2009, he has released music on respected labels such as Matrix, Mathematics Recordings, Dogmatik, and RSPX, earning support from global icons including Jeff Mills, Marcel Dettmann, Laurent Garnier, and many others.

A dedicated live performer, Sojka has played countless shows across Europe, appearing at major festivals and renowned clubs. In 2019, he made a full transition to performing exclusively with hardware and modular synthesizers, embracing complete improvisation in his sets. More recently, he has expanded his performances to include hybrid DJ sets that blend digital tracks with live drum machine rhythms.
In addition to his artistic work, Sojka is a sound designer for Arturia and a music production lecturer at the School of Modern Music in Wrocław.

For techno in Amsterdam, few do it better than Sandrien. The Dutch native has been collecting records in her hometown for the best part of two decades, and became a staple of the city’s underground scene through MAD2 – the club night she ran with friend Carlos Valdes. Building on the success of MAD2 she went onto establish Imprint – the night she’s best known for – which she ran at the much-loved Trouw club up until its closure at the beginning of 2015. In the years since she’s been playing out increasingly beyond the Dutch capital, with 2017 seeing her tour Asia and stop off in Berlin for regular appearances. This rise in popularity is a real testament to her prowess as a selector.

On 14th October she makes her Farringdon debut, so we didn’t hesitate in inviting her to record a mix for us to introduce herself. For her mix, she dropped a carefully-curated selection of ambient, IDM, broken beats and techno, before discussing her record digging habits and the scene in her hometown.
