Lieber Hörer:innen des Resocasts, hier nun eine Fanboy-Story!

Auf dem NoG Festival lernte ich sie lieben. Sie bauten gerade ihr modulares Live-Set auf, als uns am Floor klar wurde, dass die beiden aus einer anders schönen Welt kommen. Ihr buntes Equipment, die Synthesizer und der Discoball (!) deuteten schon an, dass uns gleich Großes bevorsteht. Was dann passierte: Flirren — alle wurden wie Nachtfalter angezogen, ein flimmernder Glanz umgab die Bühne und Bäääm!

Ihr Live-Set ist analog, warm, abwechslungsreich, verspielt, dynamisch, eigensinnig, flüssig, treibend, synthetisch und hypnotisch. Ein durchdachtes und komplexes 97 min Stück, das nicht aufzuhören braucht. 

Wir begrüßten sie damit im letzten Jahr auf dem MSNT und spätestens da wurde aus musikalischer Begeisterung auch eine zwischenmenschliche. Deshalb hier ihr Set vom MSNT für euch als Resocast!

An american guy asked me if he could buy one of my house cd mixes... but the cd didn't exist at the time! I recorded it some weeks later, when it came to life after a dream and the following search through my collection of original house records from 1995 to 2005.

I'd like to share this "dreamy déjà vu" with you, and I hope you'll let the happy party feeling of those "old days" come alive again.

As a child, Diego spent his free time practising gymnastics and playing the piano. Today he is involved in performance training, holistic wellness and music production.

This search for balance and wellness informs his music, where acoustic scenarios move between essentialism and attention to detail. The arrangements move around a stable core, creating and releasing tension.

Higher State Of Elevation represents Diego Suarez's debut as a producer: a playful and light-hearted approach, achieved with the collaboration of Camillo Corona, whose class shines through in the mixdown.

Following a long phase of sound research and experimentation with field recordings, Diego uses a capture of his vocal improvisation recorded from an old iPhone to present himself naked and sincere. Philosophy Of Desire is mixed by MadMaxim, who beautifully interprets the personal and introspective mood.

From this shared understanding with MadMaxim, a joint project was born, culminating in Ode To The Lobe, the fruit of intense experimentation and millions of micro-decisions.
