The Zars are a dance-electronic duo whose music moves easily from techno-dub to house and it's always connected by a deep and raw touch. Balearic Chicago.
 
It all began with two friends in a room, in a flat in the African neighborhood of Rome, with a PC, a microphone, a guitar, a bass and a huge pile of dreams and ideas! Then a few synths came into the picture and the guys started learning the tricks of the trade.
They're still baking their heads manipulating sounds in the hottest studio of Rome, while hitting the decks of some clubs from time to time.

D Lewis, born on April 17th in 1973, started playing electronic music in several clubs as soon as he came of age and, at the same time, he began approaching to some discographic productions. In early 90’s he met dj Emix with whom he started a long collaboration that will bring them to produce more than fifty “vinyl records”. In 1999 he took part to a course for “sound engeneer” in Milan and the following year he gave birth to his own “recording studio” called “Locomotore Recording Studio” based in Rome. After his collaboration with many different labels, he carried out the Off’s Electrica salsa’s remix in 2004, produced by Joe T Vannelli for Clubbin’ Records , appreciated and played by many international dj’s, followed by Venusville, Push it, Belladonna feat. Vladimir Luxuria, Back to acid, Gomma, Fuck, John Dahlback’s remix “If you give me” and many others…“Scariche”, one of his most known and famous records, brought him to a close collaboration with Claudio Donato’s Antibemusic Records Company to which belong Acid 80’, Zig Zag, Abm, Mr. Disc, Sound Real and Fulltime Records. In 2007 he published his first album, “Officine Romane”, together with Emix, distributed in Italy, France, Switzerland, Spain, Russia and broadcasted in Germany by “Zyx Records”, followed by the video “Baby”, the first single to come out and showed by the main tv-radio’s stations. Together with Emix he gave birth to a discographic project titled “Audiosafe” trying to search for new sounds. At the same time, he started performing at several prestigious clubs such as: Red Zone (Pg), Madame Butterfly (Fe), Alcatraz (Mi), Rolling Stone (Mi), Magazzini Generali (Mi), Pacha (Palma de Mallorca), Space (Valencia), Bcm (Palma de Mallorca), Divinae Folliae (Bisceglie), Peter Pan ( Riccione), Canniccia Club ( Versilia) and as resident-dj at Palladium (Rome), Cyborg (Tr), Arabesk (Vt), Nrg (Rome), Muccassassina ( Rome), Cocoricò (Rn), Area Mito (Ss) and at Space (Ibiza) on summer 2007.From 2003 he is resident-dj at “Diabolika International Party”, the famous “party-event” that brought him around the entire peninsula and in Europe and also on a “Live radio show” every Saturday on M2O. In 2008 he realized with Emix a “one-night show”, titled “Reazione”, exclusively once a month from Cocoricò (Riccione) and from Nrg (Rome). In the same year he began writing (monthly) for a magazine “Maxim” (nightlife/djblog). In 2009 he was resident with Benny Benassi at Diabolika Summer Edition at Cocorico.In 2011 he was resident at Cocorico Love Aquafan with Cirillo and in 2012 began his collaboration with Supersonic Events at Atlantico (Rome) and he played at SounDrome International Festival at Olympic Stadium (Rome), and Spazio 900, the best Club in Rome.
He worked with the best dj's such like Deadmau5, Boys Noize, Joris Voorn, Trentemoller, Crookers, Bloody Beetrots, Benny Benassi, 2 Many Djs, Eric Morillo, Roger Sancez, Tiesto, Fedde Le Grand, Congorock and many moore...and his sound is highly valued by experts.

D Lewis is a very special and quite “different” dj on the scene; his passion for music, his musical culture and his technical preparation and knowledge let himself realize some very unique “sets”.


Born in Rome on May 10 - 1981. Claudia Pasqualini aka Kloi moved to Greece when she was 25 years old. By the age of sixteen she started to enjoy the night professionally, so deciding to pursue a career as a DJ. 

Her first debut in Athens and many residencies in various clubs in the city led Kloi the last 3 years in Mykonos island,Greece, as resident dj for two seasons in some Clubs. Her techno - progressive style was influenced by many artists since she was young. Always evolving Kloi is starting now the first production.

Meanwhile she continues her career doing Gigs and warm up for a lot of Djs like Valentino Kanzyani, Kenny Larkin, Sidney Charles, Lauren Lane,Carlo Lio, Delano Smith,Italoboyz, Edu Imbernon, Francesca Lombardo , Santè, Pirupa, Dave Seaman, The mekanism, Darius.. and many more...

Born in 1990, Giuseppe Rizzuto has had a close relationship with music and sounds since he was very young, attracted by the club culture of that period and dreaming about the art of DJing as a real job.
From a young age he found a certain appeal in the Techno music, with all of its contamination and underground, passing through the House movement of Defected in the House. He began opening evenings for some well-known artists, obtaining various appearances in after-hours clubs, which supported him in his artistic and musical growth, as well as maintaining close contact with his audience.
In 2009, after leaving school, he won a creative IED competitive examination, thanks to a sound remake of the famous “2001 Space Odyssey” soundtrack, which led to a scholarship for the three-year Sound Design course in Rome. The subsequent meeting with technology has pushed him towards the world of production, conjuring up emotions through the use of the drum-machine and the synthesizer. “Synthesizes everything he learns from the new trends and what market asks in every production”. His style is featured by an accurate research that extends up to the Techno and Classic House.

In June 2011, comes out “Metrotone EP” on Endemic Digital and He began a productive path that leads him to sign several EPs with international labels like Kraftek,Transmit Records, ElRow Music,Rusted Records, Unity Records,Uno.,Sonika Music, Selected Records, Pild Records, Be One Records, OnOff Records, Basswalk Records, Transmit Records, Kraftek, Datagroove and many other getting big supports from the main global djs like Richie Hawtin, Marco Carola, Dubfire, Joseph Capriati, Umek, Paco Osuna, Dj Sneak, Carlo Lio, Stefano Noferini, Cristian Varela, Fabrizio Maurizi, Julian Jeweil, and many others. 
In 2015 debuts with the official rmx for the Basement Jaxx’s track “Unicorn” released on their label Atlantic Jaxx…

Alessandro Sestini was born in Rome, capital city of Italy, the 1st june 1988.
He living in a little town near Rome, Monterotondo. He's graduated in electronic even if the
music world has always been his real greatest passion. 
His passion for the music started when he was young and since that moment he started 
to play music whit important musical programm for computer.
From 2004 he started the dj's activity buyed the first consolle and in the same years he begun 
to attent the deejay-school at the Remix Studio and playing in most party and disco.
Since 2006, Alessandro, influenced by the musical culture of the European stage, is approaches 
to the sounds tend to the dark slyle of minimal-techno, and started to produce music.
In 2010, open the label "Level One Records" with other romans dj's and producers, 
began to produce and sponsor well-known artists and new talents.
Still continues his work as dj & producer.

Ruggero Patrizi aka “LABAROME Techno Music Industries” is an electronic music producer and dj from Rome, italy. 
He started his musical activity playing guitar in a punk rock band when he was just thirteen years old and, some time later, he started studying jazz guitar and composition.
When he bought his first synth in 1987 (Roland D20) he discovered electronic music and became keen on techno music. 
Buying his first record players and vinyls he started to play as a dj and live performer in the illegal rave scene of Rome and in 1997 he released his first vinyl e.p. for the “Latitant Records” label.
In 1999 he established “Surphase Records” label with Paolo Schettini (aka Qubit – Abrugiato) and Luca Roberti. 
The ambitious target was to change the electronic scene of Rome aiming to a bigger sound research. 
As “Psychofunk” he realeases two idm-experimental compilations (Electronic junction – Surphase001) with artists like Leo Anibaldi, Lory D, Andrea Benedetti, Marco Passarani, Mat101 and others.
He took an eight years break from music in 2000 and re-started playing again in 2008 performing only live.
