Reggae Made in Peru. A unique blend of reggae and rock, carrying a deep, significant message.

Laguna Pai started playing in 2008, in Lima, Perú. With two guitars, synthesizers, classical keyboard sections, and a solid reggae-rock rhythmic base, a new genre was born for the peruvian musical scene.
The message is the band’s priority. Their lyrics are related to crucial thematics: environmental conservation, equity, social inclusion, introspection and spirituality, aiming to generate conscience and awareness through the music they create. 

In 2010, the band finished recording their first album, “Kultura Babylon”, a record distinct in its new, original sound. It was considered one of the best peruvian records released in 2010. With “Atento”, released in 2013,  the band acquired a deeper sound: enveloping synthesizers, profound and prolonged guitar and keyboard solos, harmonious chorus lines, solid bass lines with powerful cadences, and drum patterns that feed from different genres while maintaining a unique personality. 

In 2015, Laguna Pai started and finished the recording process of their third album, “Resiliencia”,  this album was launched on December 4th 2015. “Resiliencia” in spanish or “Resilience” in english, is the capacity to overcome adversity and have the power to move forward with a transformed and positive vision of life and the world. “We named our album “Resiliencia” because right now the world is suffering a lot of traumas, and we believe this is the way to survive and be happy, we need to overcome adversity, we need to transform ourselves and move forward. To transform ourselves is very important, not just to adapt, but to change, to learn from the good and the bad, if we don't do this we will be following the wrong path.”

"Resiliencia" was produced by reggae genius and musical producer Jim Fox, from Lion and Fox Studios. “To really find the sound we are looking for is crucial, for us the most important are Words, Sound and Power. We got the opportunity to work with Fox who is an eminence for reggae music and an amazing person, a master in every way possible, very humble, very conscious, very awake. We finally accomplished the sound we have been looking for, and that is thanks to Jim Fox, with his 40 years of experience he helped us capture the spirituality and magic of reggae music. It’s very important for us to transmit the magic and the message in our music. We believe in music as if it were a spirit and when you listen to it, it invades your being and alters the status quo. It is crucial to change the status quo.”

With this third album, Laguna Pai is reaching new dimensions in their compositions, exploring harmonies and musical arrangements without losing their true essence. They have accomplished a record where you can notice the classic reggae roots influence without losing their unique profound sound. "Resiliencia" is a true journey, you will travel from reflection to forgiveness, from anxiety to peace. It is a set of emotions that find their way into 14 songs. As always, this new musical proposal is aiming to open the path towards change in the world. 

Laguna Pai has played in musical festivals all over Perú, sharing stages with internationally renowned bands such as The Wailers, Damian Marley, Israel Vibration, Steel Pulse, Clinton Fearon, Groundation, SOJA, Los Cafres, Gondwana, among  others.

In 2013, Laguna Pai travelled to California for the HMMA (Hollywood Music in Media Awards) obtaining the award for “best reggae band” in the Reggae category.

Laguna Pai continues to work on their music and tours in hope to expand their music to new latitudes and listeners.

Piélago es un grupo de reggae con base en Puerto Rico fundado a mediados del 2013 por Joseph Ojeda, David Sanchez, Josue Depat y Benson Pagan. Con deseos de concretar una propuesta innovadora y fresca estos jóvenes  comienzan un proceso creativo de desarrollar un repertorio muy intencionado; la industria musical para en el siglo 21 demanda mucho tiempo, paciencia y dinero sin la garantía de que suceda algo positivo al final del camino. Con esto en mente Piélago comienza a desarrollar su propuesta con ritmos y acordes dulces y elegantes y liricas amenas a las cotidianidades que se pueden presentar día a día. 
Tras algunos meses de pre producción Piélago decide grabar su primer Corte Promocional  titulado "Sin Ti" en el Viejo San Juan, Puerto Rico. El mismo fue grabado en audio y video en vivo y gestionado 100% de manera independiente por el grupo, filosofía a la cual el grupo aun se mantiene fiel. El tema fue seleccionado por el blog Diseñado en Puerto Rico como parte de las 20 canciones destacada en la música Independiente junto a grandes artistas como: Índigo, Juan Pablo Díaz, Tito Auger, Fofe y los Fetiches entre otros.  El sencillo abrió las puertas para que el grupo hiciera sus primeras presentaciones en la isla con muy buena acogida.

Para comienzos del 2014 el joven grupo se da la tarea de grabar sus primeros cortes en el estudio de grabación y con la mente en hacer cosas de la mejor calidad posible el grupo acude a Playbach Studios en Puerto Nuevo, la cuna de grandes éxitos de artistas como Calle 13, Cultura Profética, Los Cafres entre otros.  El primer corte de esta serie de grabaciones titulado Somos Mas fue masterizado en el legendario estudio de grabación Abbey Road Studios en Londres convirtiendo a Piélago en el primer grupo puertorriqueño en trabajar en dicho estudio.

El Grupo actualmente está trabajando y afinado su propuesta semana a semana con futuras presentaciones y un segundo corte promocional para el verano y otoño 2014 y espera poder presentar su primera producción para el 2015.

Currently based out of LA, and with members hailing from the west coast, SLC, and Vegas, their powerful rhythm section provides the heartbeat over which scintillating guitars and soothing vocals float melodies of universal resonance.
Iya Terra released their first EP in 2014, then a debut album “Full Circle” in 2015. Then came the album that aligned the stars, “Sacred Sound” debuted at #1 on the reggae charts and the band’s following has swelled ever since. Their third full length release and second reggae chart topping album “Coming to Light” followed in 2019.
Iya Terra has been cultivating a unique sound and following for years, and their upcoming release, “Ease & Grace,” will drop with the band hitting full stride in 2021. The new tunes are produced by EN Young and feature reggae hard-hitters Tribal Seeds, Trevor Hall, Mike Love, Bobby Lee of SOJA, Alborosie, and the legendary David Hinds of Steel Pulse.
