ABOUT MXIZO LONA!
Mxolisi “Mxizo” Moyi was born in Nyanga, Cape Town. He started singing a very young age but he never took it seriously until he was approached and joined a local choir, the Princess Square Singers. It was during his time in the choir where his talent was groomed and he became their tenor soloist. With his choir, he went on to represent the Western Cape Province at the National Choral Championships in 2003 where he returned with the national title in his category.
Though his first love is Choral and Opera music, Mxizo has crafted a career as a vibrant Afro-Soul House music singer. His music is mostly in isiXhosa and comprises of love songs fused tribal and Deep House beats. His first album, “Ndikujongile” (produced by Pyrobeats), was and still is a local anthem and was used as the theme song of the Switching of Lights marketing campaign in Cape Town. In October 2011 he released his second album titled “Uyandenza” (produced by Dj Brookiez).  
His new singles “Ndizok’thatha” & “You my Sunshine” (produced by Dj Luungz & Dj Execution) promises to be a summer hits as local radio has embraced it. It is dedicated to his 10yr old daughter, Entle. Its just one of many good things, that is still to come from Mxizo.
