Since he began his career, JOÃO ALVES has been elected as one of the most promissing dj's of his country. This is due to his fulminant development and evolution, resulting in the incredible mark of 250 gigs in 4 years! Among this round numbers, he shared the dj-booth with over 50 DJs of international renown, from the four corners of the world.

However, it is incorrect to say that the musical adventure of JOÃO ALVES began in 2009, the year he began his career as a DJ. Born in Braga in 1987, at age 16 he had his first contacts with the nightlife, occupying positions such as public relations and event organizer. Thus, music has early become an integral part of his quotidian, creating intense connections with "his body, his mind and his soul"... Finally, with his life.

JOÃO ALVES always appreciated and followed the various genres of electronic music, from deep-house, tech-house and techno, from the most minimalist to the most progressive and intense. It is through these sounds that he has been one of the most requested portuguese DJs for clubs and festivals, as well as in various events in Portugal.

Although he appreciates different genres of electronic music, it's in the different variants of tech-house and techno that JOÃO ALVES really feels like "fish in water".

Always aware of the big news in the world of music, he likes to present his audience with creative and original intro's, followed by a dj-set with strong rhythms and insightful beats. These qualities combined with his cheerful and relaxed posture, led JOÃO ALVES to be recognized today as one of the most respected DJs in the underground dance scene in Portugal.
