I was recently reminded by my old pal Olly that once upon a time, I made him a 'Foul Play versus Omni Trio' mixtape. I had little recollection of this initially, as it was donkeys' years ago and would probably have been a one-off mix recorded while herbally ameliorated. I certainly don't recall running off a dub for myself; the original cassette, it seems, is long-lost. Forward a quarter of a century, and in my Selectabwoy 'career revival' (lol) I've never been particularly inclined towards making all-artist mixes, but something about this concept - and Olly's enthusiastic memories of it - grabbed my imagination. So I thought why not give it another shot; this time armed with a wider collection and a few additional releases under pseudonyms.

Recorded live last year on the infamous Riverdance Boat Party. Unfortunately, PFM was unable to play due to illness, and he recommended me as his replacement. Luckily, I had already purchased a ticket and was planning to attend anyway. With just two weeks to prepare, I went through my atmospheric back catalogue on vinyl and selected some of my favourite tracks from that golden mid-'90s era. This one is dedicated to MC Conrad and, of course, the mighty PFM.
