I was living in London in 2000 when my friend Dale (living in Durban S Africa at the time) sent me a disc of song ideas he was working on. 
One particular untitled song caught my attention. A rough & rudimentary bedroom recording with no vocals; but I really liked the feel of the song, the flamenco inspired guitar chords (offset by the rock drumming), the quirky and creative guitar solo (much like the man himself).  
In Feb 2003 Dale and his girlfriend Cindy passed away in a car accident. As the years rolled on, I listened to that same recording a few more times, and figured it was too good to leave in a box at the bottom of a cupboard. I decided to turn this into a project and create a fully recorded & produced track. 
I learned how to play the guitar parts, Shanine agreed to collaborate and provide a vocal track from across the seas, Thom helped with the drum sequencing, Greg tracked the guitars and bass. 
This project was a slow burner, and took over 3 years to complete, and finally (with thanks to the generous contributions of a few talented people) I’m happy to say the long-term project is complete, and I’m really  proud of the result.
