Recorded in late 2011 for the Gneiss Things label, which ceased production around that time. A hard drive failure then put the music out of reach for some time, but was miraculously discovered in an archive untouched for 9 years

These recordings are more or less an ode to a dying Oberheim Matrix 1000 polyphonic synthesizer (purchased from Jamie Hepler of Nest Egg), which had a "bad" voice chip, such that every 6th note played would have a different timbre than the rest, which, along with the 13-bit processing of the Alesis Microverb III and other mysterious behavior of the synthesizer contributed greatly to the texture of the sounds.
