Classic drum and bass mixed on 100% vinyl. This was the era of Fabio, BBC Radio 1, Swerve around the early 2000's when the liquid funk sound was being pioneered in the UK. This was another fun live session on Twitch. I was sweating it a bit because I didn't feel completely prepared going into it because of some work obligations. I still managed to pull it together with enough new music, balanced out with some older playlists. First hour soulful with a funky groovy edge into a bit darker more futuristic/haunting feels of the 2nd hour -- probably my favorite part of the mix. Celebrating the milestone that is episode 50 of the LLL livestream on Twitch. Thanks to my crew who choose to show up for it time and time again. You da real MVPs! My favorite part of this session was probably the first 30 minutes. Really tried to play some deeper, jazzier, minimal cuts and tried to nail the transitions smoothly. The advantage of playing a stream vs a club is I get to play some of this music I would never play for a dancefloor. I think I had a couple of slip ups this session where some mixes got away from me, trying to loop things on the fly, but hey, it happens... Will try to do better next time. Thank you guys for listening.
