Over 2 years in the works, we can finally, and proudly, present the Leniz debut album: Perceptions of Reality.

Even though Leniz is still young and made his start when he was even younger, he's been to many places and has had a lot of experiences. Like many others, he's been through personal ups and downs. He achieved new goals and set new targets, met and said goodbye to people, places and chapters in his life. When writing this album, he took inspiration from all of these moments, creating a single comprehensive piece of work spanning several genres, moods and tempos. On top of that, there are several top-notch collaborations with Differential stalwarts such as Dustkey, Brainwork, and Rift, but also less familiar faces like Perspective Shift, Matt Freeman and Damzel.

The end result is an experience only available through pure expression and months and months of effort. Many words can be said about any of the tracks, but it's much better to take a moment and experience the album in full, as it was meant to be heard. Delve into the world of Leniz and experience his story whilst getting inspired yourself. Perceptions of Reality is guaranteed to take you on a journey and ignite your mind.

As a tinder that kickstarts his production career, Halfway Crook debuts on Differential with an exceptional soulful EP. The Soul Fever EP cements his status as a long-time connoisseur of the subtle side in drum and bass. Get your sunglasses out and dust off those groovy shoes, as we’re about to get swinging. 

We start off with the title track of the EP. The swinging drums and cheerful atmosphere immediately lifts your spirits as you listen to the intro. You’re guided towards the drop with swelling pads, a vhs-style vocal and warm synths. As the drop hits, Halfway Crook turns up the heat and gets you swinging with a bouncy bassline and crispy drums. Once you get caught by the groove, you can’t stop until the end, where you get ready for the second track. 

From an uplifting sun soaked groove, to an enchanting atmosphere perfect for twilight sessions, Halfway Crook and EIF take you on a ride with the mysterious cadence of Cinderblocks. With a track that is as warm as it is groovy, Cinderblocks is a unique twist on what we know soulful drum and bass can be. The bobbing bassline and gloomy arp are guided by a cheeky vocal, all in a subtle and flowing manner throughout the track. 

The third track is called What U Do Babe and turns up the swing. With drums that roll from beginning to end, this one is perfect for those late night sessions. Combine this with the strong groove from Yves and his bass guitar and the catchy flow is impossible to resist. To top it all off the vocal stabs make sure this will linger in your mind for a long time. 

Ending the EP on a high note, Halfway Crook links up once again with EIF, this time also featuring Dustkey on the collab. Whereas he used a lot of synths in the other three tracks, Radio Patapola gets its identity from the joyful electric piano. The upbeat melodies are played over a driving bassline to create an energetic and exciting end to the EP, all accentuated by the old school vocals in the background. 

For a debut EP you can’t get much better, with these four tracks Halfway Crook puts out a statement release and sets the bar high for the future. Bringing the summer to your ears and getting you in the mood, the Soul Fever EP will release on Differential August 26th.

Coming up next on Differential, Warm Roller makes his debut with an essential two tracker in Bloom and Selecta. The Ukrainian producer shows off his skill and creativity, delivering a vibey combination of tunes on two sides of the drum and bass spectrum. 

First up is Bloom, a lush collab with producer Moniks. Bloom is the perfect sunday afternoon soother, with an ethereal atmosphere, warm bassline, crispy drums and dreamy vocals by Moniks himself. The ever-changing mysterious soundscape is a lovely treat to calm your mind and perfect fit for long winter nights. 

On the flipside Warm Roller turns up the heat and we find Selecta. As the name implies, this is a gnarly one, filled with heavy basslines, crispy drums and stepping groove. With the heavy wobbles in the drop, funky one shots sprinkled throughout and even a surprise vocal performance later on, Selecta is a heavy hitter ready to mash up your sound system.

All in all Warm Roller manages to deliver an outstanding release showcasing a massive amount of flexibility through just two tracks. The full release drops 2 December on all digital retailers.

To kick off our celebration of 5 Years Differential, we revisit Leniz’ impeccable debut album Perceptions on Reality. With remixes from both longstanding Differential members and legends in the scene, Different Perspectives on Reality is a celebration of the sounds we love and music we all groove to.

Following the spectacular remixes by Seba, SiLi and Phloem that dropped in February, the full album also includes fresh takes by Pyxis, Finnadrift, Henry and Dustkey, each adding their own twist and a unique new vibe to the already iconic tracks. 

The first two new tracks are by Pyxis and Finnadrift, two extremely talented producers with an affinity for groove, atmosphere and intriguing soundscapes. They both combine the dreamy atmosphere and melodic elements from the originals with a bouncy new bassline and crispy drums, with Finnadrift even turning the original house tune into a soulful drum and bass roller. 

Next up is Henry, transforming the ethereal and heavy jungle track The Breaking Point featuring Damzel into a deep, eerie roller. Throughout his remix he manages to take the original feeling off the track, turn it up to 11 and create something so mysterious and melancholic that it’s hard to put in words. 

Last but not least, Differential crew member and label stalwart Dustkey takes the already reworked Word for Word and switches the tempo for an energetic house flip. Taking the iconic atmosphere of the original and adding some new chords, some head bobbing-swing and interesting fills, Dustkey manages to make it seem like he never produced anything else and his Word for Word remix is a treat for anyone to listen or dance to. 

We felt there was no better way to introduce our 5 Years anniversary than with a project as exciting and varied as this one. With top quality remixes delivered by both new and familiar faces, we’re proud to release the remix LP of the first ever album on Differential. Expect loads of new music this year, all with the characteristic Differential vibe and quality!

The Lunar EP signals Styke's return to Differential. A meticulously crafted collection of tracks, ranging from buttery smooth soul, to rough minimalism.

The title track, Lunar, is a warm roller, reminding us of a laid back summer night and the accompanying memories. The lush soundscapes, calming vocal and subtle piano guide you as you unwind and sit back. This doesn't stop until the outro slowly sets up the second track, setting the tone for a lovely short adventure.

On Retrospect Styke changes over the soft piano in Lunar for a gentle synth. Retrospect once again delivers an easy-going experience, with a mild, enchanting atmosphere. This time however, you feel a slightly less mellow undertone, a feeling of dusk approaching, eager to turn into an unforgettable night. 

The third track, So Many Things, a collaborative effort with Australian based Brainwork, takes the mood set in earlier tracks and really drives it home. Brainwork's highly recognisable sounds present a perfect foundation for a dark, yet classy experience. 

As the earlier tracks set everything up, Tough Luck is the track that drives the nail in the coffin. The warm atmosphere, but uneasy undertones have fully transformed in an all-out turmoil of sound. The EP culminates into this hard, driving track, with stepping drums and rough bassline. If earlier tracks set you up for an unbelievable night, this is the one that makes sure it's engraved in your mind forever. 

Through the Lunar EP, Styke delivers an ode to the underground, reminiscing of all those memories. This is an essential listening experience, cementing Styke as one of the most promising fresh faces in drum and bass.

Introducing Auris; releasing his debut EP just over a month ago on Goldfat Records, he joins us at Differential for a serving of jazz-infused soulful sounds. The "Cold Feet EP" is a perfect of his versatility and skill, starting with the smooth evening roller "Red Lights". The light hearted piano is guided by a funky bassline and uplifting organ stabs. All the while the poetic flow of RSWT guides on a story, right through to the final beat and onwards the title track "Cold Feet".

Introduced by a set of swelling horns and guitar plucks, the title track exemplifies precisely what Auris does. Jazzy chords, a bouncy bassline and some tight drumwork create an atmosphere of warmth and prepare you for the switch up on the next track. The third track, "Insensible", is a testament to Auris' flexibility, never letting loose on the drumwork, but layering them on top of a proper moody rolling bassline. The final track, "Cure of Kin", takes hints of the moody and melancholic atmosphere from "Insensible" and turns them up to 11, closing off Auris' EP in style. The air of desolation makes it so the entirety of this EP is round up nicely, and makes the "Cold Feet EP" a superb and unique listening experience.

We proudly welcome back Crash Comet to Differential, this time with his "Fragments of Time EP". 

As time passes, Crash Comet has found himself evolving his sound, continuously upping his production standards and weaving in more and more details every release. He tells us a deeply personal story with his latest EP, carrying emotions that have influenced him throughout the year and delivering a lively atmosphere. 

The first track, Back in Time, takes us back to before. Before everything was difficult. Before everything happened. Times change and Crash Comet and Cardia manage to capture this perfectly in this track. Evocative chords, insinuating lyrics and a haunting atmosphere all paint the picture perfectly. 

Next up is the track Focus featuring the vocal talents of Rhode. Exchanging the eerie feeling of Back in Time, Crash Comet and Rhode deliver a sense of hope through Focus. The lead single of the EP is a warm and comforting piece, with a mellow melody, silky vocals and a calm flow. 

Opposite to focus, the third track When We Used To is a melancholic and dark track. With Crash Comet's own vocals, rolling bassline and crips drums, intricate details and melodic elements, When We Used to creates an air of sorrow and gloom, indicating dark days gone by.

The final track on the EP called Almost Time again features Crash Comet's own vocals. This time creating a sense of eagerness and elatedness, shedding dark memories and preparing for brighter times. The powerful chords and captivating vocals set us off and tie the whole EP perfectly together.

We welcome new and familiar faces to Differential for our latest release: Let it Begin by Abstrakt Syntax, Minzo and Lottie Woodward including a mystical rework by SiLi. In this international collaboration Abstrakt Syntax and Minzo combine their lush and uplifting production with the ever-comforting vocals of the extremely talented Lottie Woodward. 

From the intro on, a charming and sweet mood is set by endearing chords. This feeling only gets reinforced with Lotties uplifting melodic performance and lyrics that inspire you to live your life to the fullest. Listening to this track is a guarantee to lift your spirits and make your day a bit better, grabbing your attention and making you bob your head subconsciously. It’s the perfect tune for a sunny day, an impromptu dance session or reminiscing about happy memories.

The included rework by SiLi takes the original and flips it upside down, adding mystery, soul and a much more rolling feel. Kicking off the festivities with a remix by none other than soulful drum and bass icon Seba. Immediately from the intro you can hear Seba’s musicality, layering some hefty drums over the dreamy and mellow atmosphere from the original track by Leniz & Brainwork. As the drop rolls on, a smooth progression builds on the ethereal mood, continuing on towards a major switch in the rhythm and elevating you to a blissful state typical of a Seba track. From there on the track guides you along with a new surprise every so often, ending on a high note and setting you up perfectly for the rest of the album. 


Even though the first remix is already a statement piece, the full project is filled to the brim with quality and identity. The Seba remix drops February 3rd, and steadily more will follow until eventually all Perspectives on Reality will be revealed.

For our third and final single release ahead of the full album, we have our friend SiLi turning the beautifully atmospheric interlude Mizpah into a full-blown, lush roller. Throughout the track an unorthodox sense of being at a crossroads, while still moving forwards overcomes you, all stemming from the enticing bassline and crispy clean drums. SiLi adds several more elements to keep the track, and your mind, rolling forwards and before you know it, you’re at the end, where a familiar voice once again asks you to turn over the record and keep listening. 

Turning an interlude into a full blown track is an impressive feat, but as we know SiLi never disappoints. His Mizpah remix drops February 17th and will unveil the next Perspective on Reality ahead of the full reveal on March 3rd.

To kick off our celebration of 5 Years Differential, we revisit Leniz’ impeccable debut album Perceptions on Reality. With remixes from both longstanding Differential members and legends in the scene, Different Perspectives on Reality is a celebration of the sounds we love and music we all groove to. 

For our second remix, we’ve got Phloem taking I’ll be There to the next level. The track starts off with the iconic vocals and atmosphere from the original track, but quickly you’ll notice the dreamy arp, ethereal pads and emotive progression. From there on, it’s a ride that doesn’t stop, flowing from the initial progression and continuing to build with a deep sense of warmth, comfort and calmth. On top of the heartfelt songwriting, Phloem manages to deliver an impeccable standard on the production, making the whole piece an unforgettable experience. 


Following the stellar Seba remix, Phloem also delivers an incredible remix, which drops February 10th, and will unveil the next Perspective on Reality.

Styke - Solutions ft. Lottie Woodward (Rift Remix)

Introducing Auris; releasing his debut EP just over a month ago on Goldfat Records, he joins us at Differential for a serving of jazz-infused soulful sounds. The "Cold Feet EP" is a perfect of his versatility and skill, starting with the smooth evening roller "Red Lights". The light hearted piano is guided by a funky bassline and uplifting organ stabs. All the while the poetic flow of RSWT guides on a story, right through to the final beat and onwards the title track "Cold Feet". 

Introduced by a set of swelling horns and guitar plucks, the title track exemplifies precisely what Auris does. Jazzy chords, a bouncy bassline and some tight drumwork create an atmosphere of warmth and prepare you for the switch up on the next track. The third track, "Insensible", is a testament to Auris' flexibility, never letting loose on the drumwork, but layering them on top of a proper moody rolling bassline. The final track, "Cure of Kin", takes hints of the moody and melancholic atmosphere from "Insensible" and turns them up to 11, closing off Auris' EP in style. The air of desolation makes it so the entirety of this EP is round up nicely, and makes the "Cold Feet EP" a superb and unique listening experience.

Differential proudly presents "Hazy"; a collaborative effort by Leniz, Perspective Shift and vocalist Matt Freeman, and the first single of Leniz' ambitious debut album. "Hazy" is a fresh take on what defined Leniz so far. His collaborative effort with Perspective Shift brings us a soothing, deep rolling track, with an airy soulful drumline. The vocals of Matt Freeman really bring the track alive, taking the established atmosphere up to 11.
