Universal Tribe Records is proud to present the first glimpse into our long-anticipated Australiens Remix project, and it begins with none other than Scionaugh.

Premiering now via Iboga Records’ SoundCloud, Scionaugh’s rework is a masterclass in deep, driving psychedelia, a remix that honours the original’s cinematic depth while guiding it into shadowy, playful, and hypnotic new territory.

A longstanding contributor to the Universal Tribe journey and the mind behind our Subspecies compilation series, Scionaugh brings his signature sound to this special release with surgical precision and soul.

Originally released in 2016 by Freedom Fighters & MVMB as part of MVMB’s debut album on Iboga Records, Australiens quickly became a progressive anthem. Now, nearly a decade later, we’re proud to reimagine it with a uniquely Australian voice, and Scionaugh’s remix sets the tone for what’s to come.

Universal Tribe Records proudly presents: The ‘Australiens’ Remixes

After years in the making, we are beyond excited to unveil one of the most anticipated releases in the history of Universal Tribe Records — a project that pays tribute to the legacy of a modern classic while breathing new life into its story.

Originally sparked during Freedom Fighters’ debut tour of Australia, Australiens quickly evolved into an iconic collaboration with progressive techno powerhouses Martin Vice & Michael Banel (MVMB). The track was later released in 2016 as part of MVMB’s debut album on Iboga Records, capturing a moment in time that merged the raw, open energy of the Australian scene with an international touch of cinematic psychedelia.

Now, nine years on, we’ve been granted the rare opportunity to reimagine this masterpiece with a signature Universal Tribe twist. What has emerged is a remix compilation that honours the past while surging forward — a curated celebration of Bush Prog brought to life by some of Australia’s most respected pioneers and the next generation of sonic storytellers — artists known for delivering the finest sounds our scene has to offer.

Featuring transformative remixes by Pspiralife, Ryanosaurus, Sumiruna, Scionaugh, and Doonz, this release brings a fresh, driving perspective to a timeless track — layered, deep, and completely dialled in to the unique rhythm of the Australian bush.
