Alderaan joins for DifferentSound Podcast #132.

Alderaan is the pseudonym of Franco De Michele, a music producer and DJ from Buenos Aires, Argentina. In the year 2014, he began his carreer as producer by releasing music in the recognized dutch label Planet Rhythm. This gave him the support of great artists from all over the world, helping him to follow his carreer and releasing music in psysical format this time, in the english label Weekend Circuit. His discography extends to labels such as Mindtrip Music, Warm Up Recordings, Insula Records, Pole Group, among others.  At the end of the year he created Danza Nativa, a label of ambient and techno music, together with two colleagues from Buenos Aires (Forest On Stasys and Kyntral) with a defined sound and oriented towards deep techno

True to the time-tested musical precepts he’s been relying on throughout his impeccable discography - which includes about a dozen albums and twice as many EPs for his own record label Northern Electronics plus a happy few, Linell’s present delivery remains befogged with that trademark esoteric enthrallment of his, taking us for a much captivating deep-dive into troubled sonic marshes and across the deeper layers of consciousness. As ever with the Stockholm wizard, it’s a masterly handled showdown of all-terrain cinematic immersion and on-target groove manipulation that reels off freely, ready to subject any raver with its magnetic flair and devouring fire concealed deep under a shell of icy austerity. Anthony Linell at Reaktor 2019

Storming the waves of our Rinse show this week is Berlin-via-Brooklyn based Russian expat Mary Yuzovskaya. After grinding her teeth spinning wax in the Russian underground around the turn of the millennium, Mary chose to settle in Brooklyn, quickly making a name for herself as a deadeye, intuitive jockey seeking nothing but perfection in her craft behind the decks. Now hailing from Berlin, out of where she operates her own 2017-born imprint Monday Off, Mary made us the honour to lay down a two-hour vinyl-only scan of her typically hypnotic, depths-plumbing techno wares. A clinically-arranged, droning machines-filled analogue mayhem that sure lacks no grit thru and thru, this one’s designed and implemented to wreak havoc across the systems in good ol’ hard, dubby fashion.
