Taking over the show this week, elusive German producer and Vault Sessions / BCCO resident DJ Phil Berg pulls out the big guns and vibes-avalanching blends for what can be called a proper feast in sound. Drum-fuelled tribal grooves, rugged early house manoeuvres, possessed machine funk, Berg runs the hoodoo down like a thrill-deprived stuntman, eager to pack the world’s whole field of energies in just two hours of music. Rill is a young DJ producer from Potsdam, Germany. He is the co-head of the Berlin based label Syntop. Undoubtedly, Rill get his inspriation from early 2010s techno. His track selection is atmospheric, yet hard-hitting and groovy. Through the moderate but precise use of synth & fx sounds he manages to add depth to his productions and thus creates an overall hypnotic experience.
