Developer joins for DifferentSound Podcast #250.

Developer is one of a few active DJ/Producers that emerged from the Los Angeles techno scene in the early 1990's. After ending his residency as a DJ on radio station 88.7FM kspc in 1995, Developer "Adrian Sandoval" Became the Import & Export Manager of the first dedicated techno distribution company on the west coast " Entity Music Distribution " which distributed top labels such as Axis Records, Reload Belgium, Plus 8, as well as a wealth techno label's from Detroit, Chicago and around the world. 

Over the last 3 decades Developer has played alongside many of the elite techno talents from around the globe as well as taking part in laying a foundation in the LA techno culture by producing events and exposing various first time international talents throughout the mid 1990's to late 2000's. Developer gained much of his acclaim and extensive performance history from his strong marathon sets and quick programming skills as well as the ability of playing 50 tracks per hour on 3 turntables with effect processor and sampler.

Developer continues to thrive as one of the most interesting techno mixmasters from the Americas as well as the birth of his label Moduarz which features productions and remixes from some of his early contemporaries in Los Angeles as well as a few established and emerging talents from around the world. 

Developer's current approach on the advanced DJ/Performance comes naturally with the evolution of technology, software, effect processors and a strong library of timeless Techno and House tracks

Varying between half-time steppers, futuristic house music and lucid techno experiments, Konduku has assembled a raft of forward thinking club records.

Majoring for the likes of Nous’klaer - a label he’s most commonly associated with - to releases with Delsin’s Mantis Series, DJ Nobu’s Bitta label, and his celebrated Parlama EP for Spazio Disponibile - Konduku delivers an undeniable sonic pattern of uptempo, liquid and polyrhythmic groove.

Having relocated to Berlin, curious time signatures and rhythmic pulse remain a priority of his DJ sets, and the artist’s ability to stand out comes through an alluring ability to blend & layer sounds that conjure up otherworldy hypnotisms and radical new hybrids in the process.

Taking in UK bass culture to his sound, turn-of-the-century tech house and mid-2000s Italian techno, it’s an obsession for drums - and a wider scope for what falls between - that gives Konduku a rare, outsider’s edge.

After our summer break PoleGroup radio is back, this month we are going to listen to a mix from Madrid based Semantica boss Svreca, the spanish artist has recorded this set live at the Loft in Barcelona last April 5.

Svreca will release soon an EP on his Semantica label named "How to become nothing" with remixes from Oscar Mulero, Pris, Adriana lopez and ASC.

You can also check out some tracks of him released this year on labels like "On the 5th day", "Sublunar" and "Aura Dinamica"

You can see Svreca playing on October 11 at Distopia club in Bilbao, on the 12th at Smolna in Warsaw and on the 26 at prisma in Sevilla, he also have some gigs in Asia coming up in November when he will be playing at Vurt in Seul on November 1 and at the festival de Frue at Shizuoka in Japan on November 2

Even if this would have been a very long distance trip, we would not have hesitated to invite highly skilled Japanese techno pioneer Takaaki Itoh to play in Leipzig at one of our regular Connwax nights in Institut für Zukunft. Okay, he would have kown the way to LE since he visited IFZ already in 2016 and 2018.

Well, the year 2020 planned something different for all of us. In the meantime, during our last internal Connwax meeting, we decided to ask Takaaki if he would like to contribute to our young but incredibly good Connwax Selected Series.

For our Connwax Selected #11, Takaaki Itoh who already released on labels such as Mord, Modularz, Warm up and his own imprint Wols is providing us with well selected, ace and highly effective stealth techno (like Hardwax is sayin'...).
