We’ve got some peak-time jackin techno arriving on our Soundcloud just in time for the weekend as Romanian techno prodigy Michael Ius lands on Insolates Out Of Place imprint. We premiere ‘Move Your Feet’ – a rolling slice of groove-infused techno, that nods at both 90’s hip-house & early 00’s crackling techno cuts, instant floor-filler.

Young techno wunderkind Michael Ius debuts on Insolate’s Out of Place records as the 24th release on the label. The newcomer arrives on the Croatian imprint with 5 infectious vintage techno grooves leaning on cheeky vocals, rolling bass, and sizzling percussion hits. The EP has been roadtested across Europe by some of the hottest names in techno right now including Chlaer, Alarico, Lobster, and label boss Insolate.

Insolate’s Out Of Place Records has been on a roll as of late featuring standout EPs from newcomers to the techno scene Teo Harouda & Bruno Caro. 2022 also saw the label have a standout year showcasing music from Rove Ranger, Kashpitzky & SERA J who have gone on to be hugely successful following their releases via OOP.

Today we focus on the label’s 24th release as they welcome the exciting Romanian prospect Michael Ius to the fold. The new name arrives with 5 track EP that is bursting with fun-loving flavour, taking inspiration from the jackin and bouncing side of early 00’s techno records, seemingly referencing seminal acts such as Player, Ben Sims, D.A.V.E The Drummer, and more.

We premiere ‘Move Your Feet’ a bouncing bow of the head to bouncing hip-house of Chicago and dirty shuffling UK techno. The hip-hop-orientated vocals play off the pulsating bassline to devastating effect, add some shuffling percussion grooves and a descending synth stab and you’ve got a little slice of vintage techno that airs on the fun side of techno. This is a surefire way to light up a dancefloor.

Mutual Rytm welcomes back Swiss DJ/producer Chlär for a bustling, high-octane return as he unveils his latest six-track EP, ‘Intrinsic Drive’.

Swiss artist and mastering engineer Chlär’s last outing on Mutual Rytm, his ‘Optimized Grooves’ EP, was a stand- out success that made an impact far and wide across the techno realm. It was another big step for the fast-rising producer, who is also a dexterous DJ that plays across three and even four decks in the club. A craftsman of sounds, his take on techno is full throttle and has come on labels like Iceland’s NIX and Stranger’s Self Reflektion imprint. Always looking to improve his sounds, he hits a perfect sweet spot with a fresh and visionary approach across six fresh productions with his ‘Intrinsic Drive’ EP, again showcasing exemplary creative progression in his ever-impressing production skills.

Up first is ‘Dopamine Rush’, a quickened techno pumper with synths peeling off the straight-ahead drums and locking you into a state of hypnosis. The title track ‘Intrinsic Drive’ is a tightly woven mix of drums, hits and bass that never lets up, while the supple rhythm is overlaid with alien sound designs to up the intensity. ‘For Marco’ takes a heavier path with darkened and more weighty kick drums under eerie synth loops. There is a real swing in the drums of ‘Steady Pace’ as the crisp hits and vocal fragments all up the ante, before ‘Greedy Man’ delivers a tough panel beater with skewed synths and an industrial undertone. Digital bonus ‘May I Dance?’ rounds things out with raw textures and unhinged loops that take you to the heart of a strobe-lit dance floor, shaping up another mighty fine statement of intent from the ever more vital Swiss native.

We premiere music from one of the leading names within techno today, Alarico. The Primal Instinct Records boss returns to SHDW & Obscure’s fabled imprint Mutual Rytm with an eight track EP, blending with his signature groove with new exceptional sound design and sharp minimalistic techniques.

Alarico is back on Mutual Rytm with his ‘Drops Of You’ EP. The Italian’s return to SHDW & Obscure Shape‘s imprint see’s him breaks new territory once again as he flexes a wealth of intricate production technqiues across eight dancefloor armed tracks.

The Milan-based artist Alarico has firmly established himself as one of the leading names within techno in recent years. Taking inspiration from the harder realms of techno from the 90s, he adds his own quirky rhythms and quickened sense of groove to showcase his modern take on the genre. He is one of the few new techno producers that has really a unique sound and charisma within his tracks. Using occult samples and granular synthesis to his full advantage the young producer has crafted an inspiring sound that is truly isolated from other producers.

We premiere his latest offering ‘Sino’ taken from is eight-track EP on Mutual Rytm. This locked-groove is simply made for the dancefloor, as sun-kissed dub chords take the front seat on this one, while chunky drums lay the foundation for a stomping rhythm. Alarico leaves his signature imprint all over this, as an infectious vocal hit lays over the top of crispy percussive grooves, making this an instant mood-lifter.
