Next up, we have DJ / Producer Diego Amura. Diego is an artist from the infamous Neapolitan scene, who developed a strong passion for the electronic music since a young age. He started out mixing at the age of 16 and has developed himself to a bit of a master since. With releases on Etruria, Mindtrip, Konsequent and KSR, he is a true force to be reckoned with. 

For this mix he brings us dronin grooves and analog sounds. We have been a long time fan of his work and we are happy to have him on board for our series.

Volpe is an Argentinian artist with more than 10 years of experience behind the booth. Inspired by the sounds of the ‘90s, his versatile sets blend genres such as Dub, Detroit and Hypnotic Techno, which combined with his fast tempo and continuous groove, create a perfect atmosphere on the dance floor. He has been at the forefront of the underground electronic scene in Buenos Aires, being a resident in several parties for many years, which have lead to him being showcased at the best Techno clubs of the country, sharing gigs with artists such as Tadeo, Jonas Kopp, Seph and Andres Zacco. He’s managed to edit several of his productions on labels such as UИCAGE, Subsist, and Sungate, and due to his continuous efforts he has been supported by artists such as Ben Sims, Oscar Mulero, Jeroen Search, Zenker Brothers, Tripeo, Stephen Brown, Subradeon, Pushmann, Kaiser, Vil, Yant, Alexander Kowalski, El Choop, OHM, Hertz Collision and many others. He is now focused on honing his production skills and preparing new releases, all whilst still doing podcasts for great channels like Artaphine, Frenzy, CÉRÉMONIE, Room Lab, Obscene, Vanity Dust, Duplicity and several more.

Mode_1 joins for DifferentSound Podcast #090.

Mode_1 is a Dublin based Dj holding residencies at Subject Dublin, District 8, Index and featuring regularly at festivals such as Life Festival, Electric Picnic and Boxed Off. Having been a resident at Subject for the past 7 years, it has allowed him to rub shoulders with some of the best in the business, playing alongside the likes of  Ben Klock, Robert Hood, Dave Clarke to name but a few. At the start of 2018 he had one his tracks “ OÍche” feature on Berghain resident Fiedel’s Double Mixpack EP  named Appendix, which also had tracks  featured from Jay Clarke, Ron Albrecht, Noncompliant and Philippe Petit. In January 2019 he contributed his track “Twenty7”, alongside producers Tinfoil, Hybrasil and Moduse to commemorate the closure of the infamous District 8. March of that year saw his first debut E.P “Final Approach” on French label Knotweed. Later in the year he featured his track “Return” on Fiedel’s new imprint Super Sound Tools. 2020 has seen Mode_1 back on Knotweed with his EP “Mainframe”  and on Fiedel’s label FiedelTwo with ‘4x4 Series Pt1’ EP.  He was featured on Truncate’s ‘Missing’ remix compilation, with support from Rodhad, Slam and DVS1 as well as releasing his Pusher EP legendary label Naked Lunch Records. 2021 saw him release his first self release M1M_001, which is a collection of old and new material as well as his third release on Knotweed Records with his EP ‘Movements’ which has been getting heavy support from likes of Freddy K, Brendon Moeller, Kwartz and Yant to name just a few.

30drop joins for DifferentSound Podcast #091.

In his formative years, the artist responsible for 30drop discovered new synthetic and electronic sounds that would later influence his work. From the year 1996, his activity as a DJ powered his link with music, focused on Detroit Techno and Techno sounds that held the transgressive references of Birmingham, UK. These impressions saw 30drop magnetise toward an industrial, experimental, noise-based sound, particularly in the mid-2000s. After a creative pause, 2014 brought his new project, ‘30drop’, at this time his label 30D Records of which he is the Manager and joint  A&R with Angel Molina, was also born.
