Barcelona based, Tel Aviv Born and raised, Shlomi aber’s musical approach married with over 20 years of production and Djng experience, takes influence from Jazz, Funk, Acid, and in particular the old school detroit Techno movement. Aber has created some of the most recognisable and Highlighted underground dance music tracks of the modern times for the world’s most prestigious labels on his ever-expanding CV: Cocoon, Ovum, R&S, Figure, CLR, Drumcode, BPitch, Renaissance and his own "Be as One Imprint”, one of the most established and leading labels of the underground dance music scene. Known for his 3 decks fast and furious mixing technique, Shlomi’s worldwide success granted some prestigious rewards and Nominations as “best newcomer” in 2005, “producer and track of the year” in 2007, "Beatport's artists of the year” in 2008, Worldwide " DJ Awards nomination” and a well-respected “Best Techno Dj 2014 & 2015” award winning at the “Sankeys Ibiza“ Dj Awards, and most recently an "ambassador of dance nation" at the 2019 official ibiza dj awards. These and more placed Shlomi in the first tier of electronic music artists, headlining every prestigious club, festival or venue worldwide.

Raffaele Attanasio joins for DifferentSound Podcast #177.

I’m always hungry for new sound experiences, and I’ll put all my soul into it." - Raffaele Attanasio Born to a musician father in his home city of Naples, Attanasio was only satiated when listening to virtuoso maestros like Il Guardiano del Faro and Keith Emerson. Developing his prodigious ear, he trained on drums and then piano and his auspicious ability become apparent early. In his late teens, he ventured into DJing and electronic music production and has garnered plaudits from Jeff Mills, Len Faki and Ben Sims; even performing with Mills in a B2B live set and also Octave One. He found a home within the electronic music community, heading his own label Letter From Jerusalem, and releasing on others, such as Third Wave Black and Non Series. His label even released music from Douglas McCarthy of the band Nitzer Ebb.

Cintia Martís, una dj gallega procedente de Ribeira ( La Coruña ). Su recorrido musical comienza en la adolescencia como clubber  y con 24 años se mete de lleno en la escena de su comunidad como dj, recorriendo gran parte de localidades y promotoras de fiestas de música electrónica. Hoy, con 29 años puedes encontrar sus sets tanto en formato digital como en 12" , e incluyendo numerosas veces los dos formatos juntos.

Ha llegado a pinchar hasta Berlín y Birminghan y en varias ocasiones también en Portugal en clubs como el emblemático Gare Porto, lugares arraigados por la cultura techno .

En la escena nacional no obstante de su comunidad (Galicia) , también ha estado en Bilbao , León y Madrid, donde a día de hoy y desde el año 2023 tiene residencia con el colectivo y sello Phase Ctv.

Musicalmente se define como contundente e instrospectiva , buscando la linea y la coherencia dentro de sus sets e inundandolos de sonidos oscuros y bizarros, donde reconoce incluso aveces buscar con sus mezclas llegar a bucles repetitivos pero a la vez dinámicos .

En esta ocasión, Cintia nos regala este podcast de un toque más personal en la música electrónica , dejando totalmente de lado su sonido y su zona de confort , entrando en un contexto más intimo del que suele disfrutar mezclando pero que no lleva a las pistas y esta es la ocasión idónea para poder mostrarnos su otra cara y sus otros gustos , con una selección de break beats y electro con muchas melodías y sonidos mas melancolicos e instrospectivos .

The 170th guest of our weekly Global Vibe Radio mix series is NYC-based vinyl-only techno DJ, producer and record label owner Mary Yuzovskaya. By way of Berlin and before that Moscow, Maryhas been cultivating her unique orbit in the electronic dance music firmament for over 10 years.

Having graced the decks of all  Moscow’s hotspots back in the  mid-2000s, Mary moved to Berlin, where she quickly became  recognised for both her  blisteringly-precise vinyl-only  techno sets and her painstakingly professional approach to the craft  of DJing. Based in New York City  since 2013, Mary currently holds  a residency at Unter, a notoriously  secretive underground techno  party showcasing the best in local  and international talent. 

Also, in  2017, Mary launched her very  own record label called @monday-off where she curates and  presses work from artists that  explore techno's trippier, more hypnotic side. 

Mary has been fortunate enough to share the decks with many talented and internationally recognised musicians such as Marcel Dettmann, DVS1, Erika, Developer, Somewhen, Claudio PRC, Henning Baer, Xhin, Tommy Four Seven, Perc, Deadbeat, Anthony Parasole, Edit Select, Dino Sabatini, Norman Nodge and many others. She has been busily traveling the world and performing her unique take on techno music’s deeper vibes at many noted clubs across the world, including Tresor, Arma 17, :// about blank, Distillery (Leipzig) and Output, to name only a few.
