Elisa Batti is an Italian-born multidisciplinary artist, DJ, producer, sound designer, and co‑founder of the Amsterdam-based techno label Immaterial.Archives. Based in Amsterdam and a resident of the Ypnotika collective, her creative practice spans electronic music, contemporary art, performance, and technology. Elisa’s activity branches across a wide spectrum of projects, all unified by one continuous thread: a deep commitment to electronic music. Her work often explores the boundaries of contemporary sound, blending it with other disciplines to create immersive, multidimensional experiences. Her sound design and tech-driven compositions have been featured at renowned venues and festivals worldwide, including Palais de Tokyo (Paris), Taiwan National Theater, Ballet National de Marseille, Kinetica Museum (London), Elbphilharmonie (Hamburg), ZKM (Karlsruhe), and Fusion Festival, among others. Elisa Batti has released her music on various electronic and techno labels such as Semantica,Qilla Records, Balans Records, NYXII, Diffuse Reality, Observant, and others. Dread Circuit

Epic synths are layered over a foundation of kick and rolling bass, tying the drums together through the rim. My aim was to create a groove that’s simple to listen to, allowing the focus to shift more toward the progression of the main sound element, a build-up of energy that unfolds over time.

If I had to associate this EP with an experience, I’d imagine it as a plane ride: during takeoff, you feel the force pinning you to your seat until the moment the plane lifts off and begins to climb… Up in the air, you feel light, weightless, until the descent begins. Here comes the drop: the wheels touch the runway.
