Diffraction is a Melbourne-based progressive psytrance artist. Since his debut in early 2014, Diffraction has become one of the foremost acts in Australia. His resume includes festivals and doof's such as Indian Spirit, Esoteric, Ergot Gathering, Tanglewood, Babylon, Earthcore, and many others where thousands of individuals have experienced the liberation of his soul-freeing sets

Deeply embedded in his DNA is the signature earthy yet extraterrestrial sound for which he is known and loved. Having grown up in the wild bushlands of Victoria he was inspired by the sublime beauty of the world around him, and the vastness of the world above. You can feel it when he gets behind the decks and sends you to outer space, guiding you through an atmosphere where you forget he’s even there, before the drop grips you and pulls you back down to earth

The intention and purpose of this show is to give our audiences a taste of many variations of the Psy Trance genre alongside feeding positive and rhythmic vibes through the airwaves!

After being introduced into the psychedelic music scene and first hand experiencing the magical, emotion-invoking culture that also follows, Dale Larsen was inspired to begin his journey into creating something that invokes that same feeling of mystery, happiness and unstoppable inspiration that comes from seeing so much work go into beautiful productions that brings people together. From this mission, the Diametric project was created. 

Beginning his journey in 2019, he set out to find just how he could create the sound that personified the feelings of that inspirational moment that led him to follow this path. After experimenting, learning and growing over a year long period, he found what felt like was his way of expressing the soul of how music can create such an emotive, uplifting and entrancing atmosphere. 

Using downtempo and psychedelic chillout music with mystical yet uplifting melodies, deep and morphing atmospheres, entrancing drums and percussions, let Diametric guide you on an introspective and ethereal journey to deeper sonic realms.
