The white rabbit from the timeless ‘Alice in Wonderland’ is constantly running but always late. The way we see it, the white rabbit represents time itself. 
Our global tribe created a ‘rabbit hole’ of gatherings and festivals, a sacred realm where time stops and the present moment shines through music and dance.

DM0001 - Daddy Longlegs

Next up in the Diffraction Mix Series we have FNQ producer and selecta, FLOW-TEK/DRIPCRAFT. Alfred is a massive supporter and mainstay of the Far North Queensland festival community. FLOW-TEK is an integral player both on the decks and on the dancefloor. He creates a mood and space reflecting the quintessential FNQ character… Progressive and reflective of his natural surroundings, with a huge low end to keep you moving!

FLOW-TEK / DRIPCRAFT is the progressive trance/d’n’b/psy project from producer Alfred Stewart. Hailing from the lush tropics of far North Queensland his signature sound is an earthy melodic pulse... with a touch of redneck and a swallow of moonshine comes a whopping bassline with a crisp and well-structured finish.

Alfred presents with the stage presence of a well-seasoned punter, his sets guiding you through a subconscious safari, while diving into the thought process and brainwaves of himself, leaving nothing behind except pure intent and good memories.

FLOW-TEK/DRIPCRAFT frequents the stages throughout Queensland, and Australia with his focus on expanding into the global circuit.

DM0002 - DRIPCRAFT (FLOW-TEK)

Transmuting dark sound into dancefloor hypnotherapy Arna creates deep harmonic soundscapes with intention of seeing as clearly in the black as in the bright. With a pulse based at 140, he conveys modern dubstep and bass music contrasting beautiful and vile vibrations. 

Stalking the ears of the Adelaide bass scene for the past 2 years Arna has left clubs and festivals ringing with haunted emotions. Utilising dancefloors as a medium for integrating the shadow aspects of the soul. This blackened sound sooths and calms, although at times is chaotic, embracing the contrast of life.

With this instalment of our mix series, we are in for a treat… introducing Bass Toner! 

Evan has been kicking out the jams for three decades, navigating through a variety of sounds and projects on his sonic journey.  He has spent a multitude of time sculpting his sounds and refining his techniques in clubs and at festivals. With a broad taste and knowledge of multiple genres, Evan always delivers flawless sets that continue to bring fans, old and new, to the joint whenever he is on the decks.

With this mix, he comes to us with his latest exploration in sound, Bass Toner.

Bass Toner is inspired by one of the most influential artists in Evan’s DJ style, Phil K. especially the Distinctive Records release: Phil K Presents: Y4K. Bass Toner sends a nod to Evan’s roots as a vinyl DJ exploring broken and breakbeat, while guiding you on a journey towards his more recent explorations across drum ‘n bass and the wider bass music landscape.

Phobik is the moniker of New Zealand born musician Gaz James. Coming from New Zealand's metal scene in his teens, things would change after a life-changing experience at a Drum and Bass show in the early 2000’s, the guitars were quietly set aside, a pair of Numark turntables and crate of records were acquired, and Phobik was born. 

Now residing on the Sunshine Coast Australia, he has played many shows and festivals around Queensland. his blistering sets are tailored to the space, time, and crowd, and move through all sub-genres of Drum and Bass music.

DM0005 - PHOBIK

Today I am releasing a track I have been working on for 2 years. It's been a f**king epic journey putting this together and I am just so happy that I can now finally share this with you.

This track is part of my new "Selected Works" album. 75 tracks (yes, seventy five) covering the years 2005 to 2020. There are some you'll recognise, some you wont, some made back when I didn't know the difference between square / saw waves, and some you would have heard in sets that are now rendered as tracks.

This album is to help me make up for lost income due to all my gigs (and the majority of my other work) being cancelled. 

This has put me, and many other artists, in a financially unstable position with no idea on when things might return to normal.

It's a pay what you want (of course), using Bandcamp’s free download system. Once I hit the download cap it will revert to being a fixed price, until $500 is made, after which, it will unleash more free downloads. This process repeats.

Anyone who chips in $10 or more will receive a link to an archive with a bunch of bootlegs that I can't upload here, and 27 live set recording WAV files.

For those feeling super generous, there's a USB key (64gb) for $50, that contains all of the tracks, bootlegs and set recordings. This is the most direct and immediate way to help me stay financially afloat.
