We premiere new music from Irish techno mainstay Offtrack as he presents his 8 track album on his Circuit Structure Records imprint. We feature ‘Discolouration’ a slick entry into the world of minimalistic techno that leans on intricate rhythms and syncopated synth lines through this dizzying locked groove.

Mullingar native Thomas Kimurray (Offtrack) has become a staple in the Irish techno scene within recent years through his work with Labworks as well as earning his stripes as a DJ across the country. Thomas’s skills in the booth has seen him share with some of techno’s most revered acts including; Sunil Sharpe, Paula Temple, Tommy Holohan, Cailín and more.

Offtrack’s 8 track LP, A journey through loop-driven hypnotic techno with a 90s taste. Each track showcases Offtrack’s masterful production skills, combining rich intricate rhythms and pulsating basslines to create a immersive listening experience. The album’s seamless blend of rhythm, atmosphere, textures and hypnotic melodies creates a captivating listening experience that showcases Offtrack’s skill and taste for the genre.

We premiere ‘Discolouration’ a stripped back take on classic sci-fi inspired techno funk. Offtrack keeps the track minimalistic and pushes each element to the limit, squeezing out rhythms and grooves from each instrument. The track’s half-stepping shuffle gives it an infectious groove that revolves in shifting cycles, Offtrack has perfected the art of subtle movement within the tracks framework to keep the track rolling and high-octane while still also simplistic. A proper slinky DJ tool for techno DJs that lust for spacey rhythms.
