After discovering the sounds of Jungle in the mid-90’s, Gremlinz is a Toronto native who fully immersed himself with Drum & Bass and its culture by collecting records, DJing and learning to produce.   He’s since gone on to further develop his style of dub/b-boy influenced drum & bass, and release tracks on a number of influential labels like Metalheadz, Renegade Hardware, 31 Records & more.

5 years ago, Gremlinz set up the heralded UVB-76 label alongside the collective Ruffhouse, and since then the imprint has grown to include offshoot labels Droogs, 4 6 2 5, and The Stone Tapes.  In 2018, his career came full circle in the form of a collaboration EP with longtime friend Jesta on Metalheadz, which has since developed into a full integration into the Headz stable for the duo.

This mix starts off pretty chilled but don’t let that fool as as it very quickly becomes a high octane journey through UK breakbeat hardcore, Jungle, drum and bass and new bass shit that I Don’t even know what genre it fits into any more. Needless to say its a sick mix and one for the Bass heads and stamina crew. Best listened to LOUD with as much bass as you can stick in whatever quarantined setup you find yourself in. Laptop speakers just don’t cut it on this one. So enjoy the mix and keep your heads up. 2020 can eat a D but let's all try and not let the situation get us down, stay positive, spread the love and dream of good times.

Manchester Born; Tokyo based DJ and a member of rowdy party crew Levelz, He has been playing shows around the World for nearly 18 years, from LA to Tokyo to Melbourne and all round Europe. He was a resident DJ for the warehouse Project for 6 years before moving to Japan, also held residencies at Londons Fabric club with his cult club night Hoya:Hoya, as well as being a resident at Manchesters longest running Bass party Hit&Run.
