"Here at none60 (sadly not a headquarters, just effectively the corner of a living room!) we like to cast the net far and wide to source great music and this time around we caught a real live one, in fact it's safe to say we are definitely going to need a bigger boat! A quick fact for you, one half of Silent Dust (the short one and also your narrator - me!) cannot swim and this analogy is inducing some anxiety so we'll get back to the music!

Howitzer fires off two high-powered, 160bpm weapons for Sweetbox, returning to the Diffrent Music sister label for his second solo outing, after the success of last summer’s ‘Blackjacks’.

Lead track ‘Lemonhead’ rains down a fiery combination of militant drumwork and oppressive bass stabs. There’s an atmospheric tension and relentless quality to this one that’ll have ravers hooked from the first stomp of the kick drum to the outro’s last smouldering crackle.

‘Foundry’ takes a similar sound palette but approaches via a more sleuthy route. Sludgy low-end pulses meet a plodding beat, with each mean step chained together by the kind of yawning groove that can’t fail to have shoulders dropping in the dance.

Both tracks will be available digitally from Friday 22nd November, with a super limited run of 10” pressings available at the Clashmouth Drum & Bass Label Market on Saturday 9th November

To close out a wicked 2019 for In:flux Audio, we've decided to pull together 10 tracks from artists both old and new to the roster to bring you 'Free Dubstep Volume 3' just in time for that much needed Christmas stocking filler.

Ali McK & IYZ return for their third outing on the series, as does Hamdi and label founders Tik&Borrow. Dystinkt also makes a welcome return to the series in preparation for his debut EP on the label in early 2020, whilst In:flux regular breaks his Dubstep cherry here with an absolute blinder entitled 'Drips and Drums'.

This time around we have plenty of newcomers to series, with debut tracks from Mungk, Panix, SHVA, Thompson and last but not least Emti, who will be making is debut EP bow on the label in 2020.

Bay 6 Recordings' sister label Calibrate Records continue to impress with their high-octane mix of 'rolling beats, breaks and bass', drawing for that at maximum capacity here. We've witnessed the likes of Madusea, label boss Echo Motion, Rozfresh and more crop up on the imprint, who are pushing forward and going from strength to strength with each passing release. Now, they've locked the exciting, Chicago-based beatsmith Johnathan Thomas for a cracking 2-tracker, further embedding their commitment to driving a different sound than the sonics you can find over on Bay 6. Johnathan Thomas - A Vibe [Calibrate Records] [OTW Premiere]

Deviant Audio welcomes the return of Johney for a sub-heavy 4-track EP featuring half-time 170 BPM numbers, dubstep as well as an amen tear out jungle track.

For those new to the name, Johney hails from Slovakia and currently resides in Brno, Czech Republic.

He began his production journey shortly after falling for the sub-heavy sounds of dubstep in 2009. His sound is a blend of his many influences from drum & bass, juke and dubstep.

Past releases on Ground Mass, Samsara Beats and Sub Garden. He’s an active member of the Soul Ex Machina collective from Brno, pushing the deeper side of drum and bass and dubstep through their events and label.
