Kalane does none of the above. Instead, he conjures up bad boy bashy drums, paired alongside tough bass hooks to get your blood pressure peaking.

His debut EP on Truth Hertz includes three original tracks (one of those being a collaboration with R3IDY) that do just that and more.

A full-scale reimagining of an already forward-thinking project, 'Tech Dreams | The Remixes' sees Zombie Cats hand the controls of their 2023 LP 'Tech Dreams' to a carefully selected roster of producers. The duo expand the world of the original with two previously unreleased cuts from the 'Tech Dreams' sessions, alongside their own fresh twist on 'Left Nothing'.

The result is not just a remix album. It is a journey through alternate routes within the same universe, where reflective moods, progressive edges and peak-time energy run side by side. The three standout samplers from Magenta, IYRE and Des McMahon sit at the core, surrounded by new perspectives from a range of heavy hitters including Psynchro, Erotic Cafe' and Redemptive.

This release goes far deeper than a collection of reworks. It maps out fresh territory inside an already bold LP, shaped by some of Drum & Bass's most inventive voices. Whether you were locked into the original or are stepping into the world for the first time, 'Tech Dreams | The Remixes' opens the door to a renewed vision, giving each idea new space, new weight and new dimension.

Moscow trio Champion Sound debuts on Defrostatica Records with dancehall legend Hawkeye from Kingston for "Ghetto Youth", a hard hitting 85 bpm declaration to own the weekend with a little less conversation. The russian jungle soundsystem crew vibes more casually on "Talk" but the tune can't shake the warning undertone. The B-side features two international remixes: the US vapourwave king Nmesh channels his inner crowd control abilities on "Ghetto Youth" whereas Sun People from Austria rebuilds "Talk" perfectly for an all-out 160 bpm breakbeat twist.

Howitzer fires off two high-powered, 160bpm weapons for Sweetbox, returning to the Diffrent Music sister label for his second solo outing, after the success of last summer’s ‘Blackjacks’.

Lead track ‘Lemonhead’ rains down a fiery combination of militant drumwork and oppressive bass stabs. There’s an atmospheric tension and relentless quality to this one that’ll have ravers hooked from the first stomp of the kick drum to the outro’s last smouldering crackle.

‘Foundry’ takes a similar sound palette but approaches via a more sleuthy route. Sludgy low-end pulses meet a plodding beat, with each mean step chained together by the kind of yawning groove that can’t fail to have shoulders dropping in the dance.

Both tracks will be available digitally from Friday 22nd November, with a super limited run of 10” pressings available at the Clashmouth Drum & Bass Label Market on Saturday 9th November

To close out a wicked 2019 for In:flux Audio, we've decided to pull together 10 tracks from artists both old and new to the roster to bring you 'Free Dubstep Volume 3' just in time for that much needed Christmas stocking filler.

Ali McK & IYZ return for their third outing on the series, as does Hamdi and label founders Tik&Borrow. Dystinkt also makes a welcome return to the series in preparation for his debut EP on the label in early 2020, whilst In:flux regular breaks his Dubstep cherry here with an absolute blinder entitled 'Drips and Drums'.

This time around we have plenty of newcomers to series, with debut tracks from Mungk, Panix, SHVA, Thompson and last but not least Emti, who will be making is debut EP bow on the label in 2020.

For those new to the name, Johney hails from Slovakia and currently resides in Brno, Czech Republic.

He began his production journey shortly after falling for the sub-heavy sounds of dubstep in 2009. His sound is a blend of his many influences from drum & bass, juke and dubstep.

Past releases on Ground Mass, Samsara Beats and Sub Garden. He’s an active member of the Soul Ex Machina collective from Brno, pushing the deeper side of drum and bass and dubstep through their events and label.
