Pouch Envy​, the promiscuous alter ego of Per Pintaric, draws influences from 90s jungle and techno, baltimore club, ballroom sounds and their eerie, personal dreamscape. Pouch Envy’s club tracks strive to bend the idea of genre and leave much to the listener’s imagination and interpretation. Per’s alter ego allows him to engage with his lived experiences in a more mysterious way and dig through unexplored sides of himself. By experimenting with quick changes in BPMs, melodic ideas and genre, their production and mixes relate to the same sensibilities as Gen Z—fast-paced, undefined and suitable for the diminished attention span that digital life has brought to the younger generations. Pouch Envy made his debut at Bossa Nova Civic Club this year and has since been producing throughout the quarantine. Per’s production has spanned from experimental hip-hop and shoegaze rock to classical movie scores, though his alter ego finds himself deep within the dance realm.

North American Amusement ​is his debut EP. A first installment of Per’s conceptual view on club and rave music. Three original tracks inspired by New York’s rising rave scene and the sensation that leaves in your body when you arrive home. In fact, most of the tracks have been produced in that very state.
The first track is ​Age Concerns Me​. An instant firestarter with room-filling kicks and breaks topped by a trance lead, where most of Per’s influences can be noted. It is followed by Sanjin​, a techno track that also takes those influences and turns them into a rave anthem away from the business driven version of the style.
Finally there’s ​(Un)match Failed ​which crosses jersey club and rave to yet leave us with another original mixture.

Abundance has a very local-supportive philosophy. That’s why we wanted to have three Barcelona based remixers in the release.
Anti Drone Squad ​remixed Sanjin by taking many elements of the original track and processing them very nicely to turn it into a club / IDM banger with their own sound. A sound that can also be appreciated in their debut EP released this year on Sin-Hilo (​Pax Digitalis​).

Aire​, who has already contributed to the label by remixing the first of our singles (​A​CSTM​), flipped (Un)match Failed into another of his deconstructed club productions such as the ones we can find in his releases for Glacial Industries (​JMA​ a​ nd ​SOPHIA​).
Finally, the new-rave duo ​TOP74​, did an alternative take of Sanjin by slowing it down to 95BPM. The result is an acid industrial techno track for groove seekers that could be played in a Front De Cadeaux set. This is a 180 degree turn from the sound that can be heard in 
their ​100NX EP​ ​on Obscuur Records.
