E.L.I. lands on MRT shores and pollutes them with all sorts of filth. The label's second last instalment takes us to Britain and it is one of the most aggressive so far. The distorted screams, the ultra darkness, the violent atmosphere it creates is tinted in black and white by the stroboscopic lights of underground clubs. A perfect mixture of relentless basslines and straightforward rhythmic patterns for the dancers with no cause, with no hope for tomorrow. Places made famous by death and disaster.

A regular face on Hong Kong’s underground circuit, Byrne has thrown parties and held residencies at venues such as Oma, Midnight & Co. & Drop over the last decade. 

Most recently he holds a residency at FM Belowground, hosting his own monthly radio show: Disco for the Damned, an exploration of the darker realms of electronic music showcasing guests from around the world. 

A show that has grown in popularity and support over it’s one year existence, Byrne is set to convert Disco for the Damned into a music label with it’s first release due at the end of this year.

This live recording from Oma club back in April of this year perfectly encapsulates his distinct record selection and dynamic mixing technique.

Unrilis presents a dynamic techno release by Mintech, which has a hardgroove A-side and hypnotic B-side.

Mintech is an Italian artist from Naples, and he is an accomplished techno producer who fuses raw percussion with analogue sounds. This release shows a deep understanding of rhythm and atmosphere.

It's the first time that Mintech has featured on Unrilis, adding to a catalogue that also includes other imprints ranging from Kevin Saunderson's KMS Records to Christian Smith's Tronic.

"A02" is on the flip side, and its fizzing percussion are sequenced into hypnotic rhythms, which underpins a spine-tingling melody that creates trippy atmosphere.
