DET:ROI - contraction of Detroit and Charleroi.

The Motor City has always been important to Roulette Rekordz. Not only for the major influence it had on us and many of our artists, but also because our first international guest was MANASYt then based in... Detroit. During our journey, a couple of releases have paid tribute to that specific sound, be it Natan Vance and his soundtracks for cyberpunk thrillers, Hantrax and his naive and nostalgic tales or Dark Prophet and his beefy electro-techno.

We thought it was time to solidify this connection and make it obvious for once and for all. Not only for musical reasons, but also because our cities share one same fate. A story of deindustrialization, decline and decay. A story of social struggle and economical challenges. A story about humans and their actions, creating the energy of the city they live in.

Roulette Rekordz is offering you today a collaboration between two big bearded motherfuckers : FRANCOIS DILLINGER representing Detroit & POLADROID representing Charleroi.

Two artists & two cities.
Two visions that are interchangeable.
A sonic drive into the suburbs of their respective hometowns.
The soundtrack of your commuting, by train or in an autonomous car.

Sinusoidal is an artist based in St. Petersburg, the city known for it's huge art and music legacy. Part of the team of underground online radio TESTFM, where he hosts the “Mutual Feelings” radio show. Sinusoidal is 1/2 of “Blatant” event series, concentrated on unconventional music.

Auser has been into cinematic (or b-videomatic) electro for more than a decade now, with releases on Viewlexx, Pinkman, Gooiland Electro/Enfant Terrible and more, ranging from atmospheric and hypnotic to tight and grim, but always loaded with a vision of a storyteller. In a Dutch way, for sure. Though Second Sun is, again, an audiovisual trip, that's not the primary concept here – it's probably the purest album-like experience of Robert Auser so far, presenting most of his characteristics and sounds, and also new elements, still, all are coherent and organic parts of Auser's projective language of electronics."
