Polanski [BLANC / House of Reptile Records] - London

Born in deep rural Poland, Polanski's music draws inspiration from the organic sounds of nature conveyed in the form of musical language of our digital era. His style is known to be eclectic and indeed his DJ approach is sensitive to particular venues and club nights. Never bound to one musical style, whether as DJ, remixer or solo producer, Polanski tries to bridge the gap between rhythmic grooves and the more experimental styles of dance music.

Unique as a performer, he always takes his audience on a personal journey - a sonic walk in the forest so to speak. It is the emotional drive more than the musical genres themselves that seals the journey together. Constantly shifting his sound, Polanski has evolved over the last 20 years as a DJ. His ever-developing style and production techniques have given a new dimension to his sound.

Promoter and resident DJ of two London-based events; BLANC his solo project and Volt which he co-runs with Antonio de Angelis. With the rapid growth of the latter he reaffirmed his status as a selector, sharing the stage with some of the biggest names in the industry, while at BLANC he continues to invite lesser-known artists’ and supports the local and the international up-and-coming talent.

As part of House of Reptile, not only he debuted his trademark sound with a first solo EP, but as well as Artist & Repertoire chief he oversees the roster of all the future releases.

This mix is originally recorded to accompany “Physical Distancing” exhibition curated by Parma Ham and held at London’s legendary Electrowerkz.

Øperat, an experimental industrial project born by the Italian duo in 2013. Always passionate about electronic music, they approached the world of live and production right away. Suggesting a completely modular set up. Their sound is characterized by dark environments with dynamic bass lines and rhythms, aggressive and sharp sounds. After several years spent in a studio they had the opportunity to play live shows at one of the main clubs in the area"Hyper" (VI). In which they had several opportunities to perform with international artists. Last year they recorded some DJ sets for Sehnsucht Kollektiv, The Slave,Untreated and Brutal Forms.In February 2019 they have their first release in a various artist on Kloster recordings and December 2020 TEMPLER (Area Z). Øperat is a strong and solid project in continuous evolution created by two old childhood friends.
